Awazu Onsen, along with Yamanaka, Yamashiro, and Katayamazu hot springs, is a hot spring resort that makes up part of the Kaga Onsenkyo area. Its central hot spring, Soyu, is a public hot spring facility located right in front of Hoshi, the world's oldest hot spring accommodation facility. For the bargain price of 430 yen, you can enjoy the same spring quality as Hoshi. The size of the Soyu facility is compact compared to other hot springs. It is a facility that is often used by locals, so you can relax and enjoy the famous hot springs that have been in operation for 1,300 years.

This colorless, clear hot spring is made with sodium spring water. I visited around 2 PM on Thursday, October 9, 2025, and there was only one other customer. Features: - Bathing fee: ¥500 - Free shoe lockers and lockers in the changing room (no coins needed) - No shampoo or other amenities - Shower and faucet temperature adjustable - Indoor bath only - One massage chair (¥100 for 10 minutes) - Low bath chair - By the time I got in the bath, I had the bath all to myself, so I was able to enjoy it at my leisure.

□ Sixth stop on the Ishikawa Prefecture Public Bath Tour □ Hot Spring: A little hot, but very good □ Building: Probably a combination of reinforced concrete and old beams, giving it an old-fashioned feel, but not too old □ Atmosphere: Only a few older neighbors were there, so it was quiet and comfortable. □ Overall: Tentatively third place (lol) □ "Public Bath" was written by Yoshiro Mori.

It's a hot spring. There's only one indoor bath, but it's perfect for a quick dip. It's close to Komatsu Airport, so I stopped in before boarding my flight.
