アヨロ温泉 (Ayoro Spa)

I went on a public holiday evening. It was incredibly crowded, and all the washing areas were full, so I had to wait in line. I tried the reclining bath and the jacuzzi, and it felt great. The headrest of the reclining bath felt a little high, but it was wonderfully relaxing. The men's bath was crowded and steamy, showing just how popular it is. If I had arrived a little earlier, I could have eaten in the food and drink area. There's a seating area before you reach the baths, and vending machines where you can buy ice cream and juice. There are also massage chairs and free Wi-Fi. The baths themselves were amazing; they warmed me to the core. There are no shampoos or conditioners provided, but you can buy them at the reception, and the woman at the reception was very friendly. There's ample parking on both the hot spring side and across the road on the ocean side. I'd like to go again sometime on a weekday afternoon.

The hot spring was even better than I expected! It warmed me from the inside out. 🤗 I felt warm and sweaty after getting out. There were various baths available: a jacuzzi, a reclining bath, a medium-temperature bath, a high-temperature bath, and an open-air bath. What's great is that in addition to the shower, there was a large porridge bowl for washing your body and head. 👍 I often see small ones for showering, but I haven't seen one for washing your body recently, so I was happy. ☺️ It seems they also serve meals, so I'd like to try the cod roe bowl next time. I think I'll be visiting often from now on. 😊

For 500 yen you can enter the free-flowing hot spring. It's a sodium spring, and not as strong as Noboribetsu, but it left my skin smooth. There are hot spring jets, low, medium and high temperature, and a small open-air bath. There are no amenities, hair dryers cost 30 yen for 4 minutes, and lockers cost 100 yen, but you can return them. There is also food and soft serve ice cream. It seems that on Ladies' Day you can enter for 400 yen. The sea is right in front of you 🌊

I used it on a weekday. Even though it was a weekday, it was quite crowded. There is an open-air bath, but it was small and crowded, so I couldn't get in. It seemed like the same people were always staying in the open-air bath, so in that condition, it might be difficult to use the open-air bath. There are many hot springs nearby, so I don't think I'll be returning. Also, there is no shampoo or body soap provided. The quality of the hot spring isn't bad, though.

A lovely Onsen near the ocean. A perfect pit stop area to wash up after a long drive and have a rest. The baths are quite nice, coming in multiple varieties from bubble, relaxation and very hot. The open air bath was especially nice on a foggy cool day. This bath is also a local hot spot so expect to meet many of the locals. Lastly, I wish I could have meet the doggy of the onsen.
