January 2023: The men's wood-burning sauna stove became operational. As of November 2024, the men's wood-burning sauna is not yet operational. On Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays, the women's wood-burning sauna stove is switched for men's use. The sauna stove is a MOKI MS70. The direct heat from the wood fire exceeds 90°C. It's even hotter in front of the stove. "Löyly (steam) is done every 15 minutes using the hourglass." Please ask before using... "Keep the temperature at 90°C by adding firewood." The sauna's condition is maintained by everyone's good manners. ★The staff regularly adds firewood, so there is no longer any firewood in the sauna. There is no parking lot. Street parking is a nuisance, and police cars patrol the area. There is a coin-operated parking lot a 2-minute walk away. After handing over your wooden key tag for the shoe locker, declaring your sauna use, and paying with PayPay, etc., you will be given a band with a number on it. The washing area has about 20 seats, and the shower pressure is good. Since it's a public bathhouse, amenities aren't provided, so you need to bring your own. The sauna has two tiers and can accommodate about 12-13 people at most; sauna mats are used to manage capacity. The room temperature fluctuates depending on the heat of the wood-burning stove, so it's probably around 86-94°C. The women's side also has a wood-burning stove sauna. I believe it was the same MOKI MS70 model. The cold plunge pool can accommodate a maximum of 3 people at a time, and is about 18°C, but it has a bubble jet, so you can feel refreshed. There are two chairs for enjoying the fresh air in the open-air bath, and the covered open-air bath is also quite nice. There's a jet bath, an electric bath, and a mineral bath, so it's a compact facility but well-equipped. Even bringing your own hairdryer costs 20 yen. They tell you to pay at the counter... but when exactly should you pay? It's a mystery. I wish there were a few more coin-operated parking lots nearby... Renovated September 2021. On the way back from watching the rugby at Yumenoshima Stadium, I got off at Inagekaigan Station, changed to a bus, got off at Keisei Inage Station bus stop, and the Matsunoyu public bath was a 6-minute walk away. 👣 However, although I was able to find the chimney of the public bath quickly, I couldn't find the entrance to Matsunoyu (?_?) You can't ask for things you don't have, so as an alternative, I found out that the next closest bathhouse was behind the Chiba University campus, near Nishi-Chiba Station, one stop away, so I headed to the bicycle parking lot where there was a rental bike. 👣 A Keisei Line train passed underneath. 🚟 It was a 10-minute walk from Matsu-no-Yu to the Rental Bike Port, and then a 15-minute bike ride from there to Bivouacland, a public bath in Nishi-Chiba. I had passed by this place before on my way home from Kitaha Hanten, a famous Chinese restaurant in the town that closed down, but this was my first time actually bathing there 🛀 There are many types of baths, including a normal bath at 42℃, a reclining bath, an electric bath, a bubble bath, a cold bath, and an open-air bath 😁 The open-air bath is especially great at this time of year, and I kept going in hot👉️cold👉️hot👉️cold, and before I knew it, about an hour had passed ( ＾ω＾) Oh What's more, it's a nice touch to have a sake🍶 open-air bath, just like New Year's 😁 After a quick bath, my stomach, which had been bloated from lunch, had gone down a little, so I headed back towards Inage Station and went to a place for a drink 🚵♀️

Located about a 10-minute walk from Nishi-Chiba Station, I visited Bivouacland Road no Yu (formerly known as .) because I heard it was the first place to offer "Japan's first wood-fired sauna." The official website is currently not updated, and information is provided via X (formerly known as .Twitter) or the official app. →The information about the renovation on the official website was outdated. This bathhouse uses soft water, which is incredibly gentle, and the use of bakuhanseki (baikantseki) and vibrations enhances the flowing water. My dog Cookie adorns the sauna hat logo, and I purchased the latest sticker as well. Prices (as of September 2025) ◆All: ¥500 ◆Men: ¥1,500 (Upgrade to sauna) ◆Women: ¥1,000 (Upgrade to sauna) Notes With the recent increase in super public baths, more and more people are choosing not to bring their own shampoo or body soap. However, since this is a public bath, you will need to bring your own. If you don't have any, you can purchase them at the front desk. The specialty is the "special shaved ice🍧" procured from an ice cream shop. A small (which is already large) is 250 yen, and a large is 350 yen. I'd also like to try the pudding someday.

I came to Bivouacland Road no Yu because I heard the public bathhouse has a wood-fired sauna! The excitement never ceases as I cleanse my body. After opening my pores in the open-air bath and rinsing my body with water, I headed to the sauna room. Oh, there's a wood-fired MOKI stove! It's two-tiered, 92-degree stove, and can accommodate about 14 people. You can do a self-loyly once every 20 minutes! I timed it perfectly right away. Oh! Hot steam envelops my body. And the gentle flames of the wood gradually make me sweat like a scorcher. Wood-fired stoves are really great! The cold bath is 14-degree underground water with a vibrating flow! It's ice-cold, cooling my body down quickly! For relaxation, there are two chairs and tatami mats in the open-air bathing area. There's an infinity chair in the changing room, so you can relax in your own way. They are currently building a new sauna room with a wood stove! This is something sauna lovers will want to keep an eye on!

Very good sentou for the price of 500yen and the proximity to 2 universities. The additional 1000yen for the use of the sauna was surprisingly expensive, although the sauna was great and well taken care of. In summary, 1500yen luxury sentou+sauna for special occasions, or just use the sentou on a regular basis.
