Clean spa Ichikawa

This is a government run pool facility so you don't need a membership to go there. If you're a member of Central Sports, there's a 10% discount though. There are three pools, a baby pool with small elephant slide, a jacuzzi/rapid river pool and then a large lap pool. There is also a gym and hot spa. Upon arrival, take off your shoes and store them in a locker. Move to the card vending machines and pay ¥200 per adult and ¥100 per child 12 years and younger. Preschoolers are free. You'll receive a suica/passmo type card which you use to pass through the gate. This money is refunded upon your departure if you use any of the facilities. If you only use the restaurant/pool observation deck then it is not. Give your locker key and card to the reception staff who will give you another locker key, this time with an IC button attached. This lets you into the different areas of the facility and tells the staff what to charge you for on the way out (you don't have to stipulate what you'll do on entry). Make your way upstairs to the changing rooms, your locker number is already decided by the key you were given at reception. When you're finished, take the key to reception, pay your bill and you'll get your shoe locker key back. Simple! There is car abs bicycle parking, you can walk along Edogawa if you wish more exercise or there are shuttle buses to and from Baraki Nakayama, Myoden, Gyotoku, Nishi Funabashi and Motoyawata. Check the website for times and days they run, only the Baraki Nakayama bus runs 7 days a week.

I recently moved here and was looking for a hot spring, so I decided to check it out. It's in a remote area, but there are several free shuttle buses, so it's easy to get to, even if it takes a while. The interior is a little old, but it's well-maintained and has been repaired in places, so there aren't many issues. There's a minimal amount of game corner and manga. There are plenty of seats for resting, so it's fine to take a break unless it's a particularly busy time, but it's a shame there's no public Wi-Fi. It's hard to stay long and relax, considering the spa fee. There's also a dining area, and on weekdays, a bathing package is a great deal. There are various plans available. As of 2025, the bathing fee is 770 yen on weekdays, so you can enjoy a light meal for an additional 230 yen. The indoor bath isn't exactly comprehensive, but it does have everything you need: regular hot water, jets, a sauna, and a cold bath. The outdoor bath is equipped with a natural hot spring and a Goemon bath, which is good. It's cold right now, so the temperature is moderate. I prefer a slightly hotter bath. Since there's no roof, it might be difficult to bathe on rainy days. Since it's a public facility, there were quite a lot of elderly people. I wonder if it's free for elderly Ichikawa residents? However, it's reasonably priced even for the general public, so it's easy to get to and offers good value for money. There's also a pool and gym, which are also reasonably priced. Overall, I think it's a good facility.

Very impressed with this well run facilities. Pool, onsen, gym, restaurant, game center (including 2 ping pong tables) and rest rooms. If this is your first time you should know: - remove your shoes at the entrance, leaving them in the locker and take the key to reception - get your magnetic wristband which is going to give you access to different part of the facility and charge you at the end. - Swimming caps are mandatory but they'll rent out if you don't have - Cash only - free shuttle bus - they don't speak English but staff is helpful and signs are easy to follow.
