Nice onsen. Cheap too. 500¥ and no hidden costs as all the lockers are free. You can buy a ticket from the machines at the door, or if you don't understand Japanese you can just hand over the money at the counter. Tattoos are allowed. Inside the onsen there is a large room with showers all around, a small cold spa, and a large hot spa at around 41°C. To one side is a sauna and to the other is a very nice milk spa at around 36°C. Outside there are two more spas with a nice view of the forest. There is a restaraunt with a large tatami area you can sit in for as long as you want. There is a bus that goes here but I am yet to work that out. Driving is best. I walked from town. Quite far. So cheap, nice, and easy to work out. I recommend.

I was honestly blown away by the extravagant service...☺️😇👏 I'm not sure you can find anything like this for 500 yen anywhere else.😳But it didn't seem like the place was overcrowded, and I wondered how they could run such a spacious and affordable facility. Another thing that impressed me was the incredibly cheap kiwifruits 🥝 at the gift shop.☺️🫶🏻 Also, the changing rooms had heated floors, so my feet were warm.☺️

September 2025, weekday If this is the standard for a 500 yen bath, then the prices of the other baths seem wrong! The parking lot was full, but the bath wasn't crowded, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Neither the washing area nor the bath was crowded. There was also an open-air bath, with two tubs. One was a jetted tub, and the other was a rock-formed open-air bath. The open-air bath was surrounded by a wooden deck, where people could cool off in the sauna, or even sleep, and everyone was enjoying a relaxing time. Admission is free if you're just coming to eat. I ended up here looking for a place to try their famous sauced katsudon and katsu curry. This was my first time trying black katsu curry. The dining area is very spacious and quiet, allowing you to enjoy your meal at your own pace. It's also very reasonably priced, and I highly recommend it over service areas on the highway. The bathing is also very reasonably priced, so if you have the time, I recommend it too.

Wonderful onsen facility nearby sports fields and barbecue grounds. Cheap entrance fee too. My favorite thing was the spacious sauna- biggest one I have ever seen in Nagano. The owner must be a fan of stained glass as the windows in the onsen use it. It is open until 2200 too so people eating at restaurants in the area can use it an hour longer than other nearby spas.
