I visited for the first time in January 2026. I often visit Golden Hot Springs in Umegashima, so I'll compare it to that. Both have alkaline sodium bicarbonate springs with a smooth, slippery texture. This one is slightly closer to central Shizuoka, taking about 40-45 minutes. The road feels similar to the one to Umegashima. The elevation seems to be less than half. Barcode payment was accepted for bathing fees, but the dining area only accepts cash. The bathrooms only have a large indoor bath and a cold spring bath; there is no open-air bath. However, the men's bath offers a river view (apparently not visible from the women's bath). The rest room is spacious and clean, but the poor cell phone reception and lack of free Wi-Fi make it difficult to kill time after bathing (though there is a manga corner). It's smaller and less crowded than Umegashima, so it's fine for enjoying the hot spring water. However, if you're looking for a more leisurely experience, it may not be satisfying. Overall, I felt this hot spring truly embodies the term "simple."

It's a municipal hot spring and costs 600 yen. It's an indoor bath only. The water was slippery and very nice. I arrived at 10:30, but there were only two local regulars there. Maybe because it was a weekday. I was able to go to the tea house next door via a covered walkway, so I had tempura soba. It tasted even better while listening to the sound of the river and birdsong on the terrace. It was quiet and relaxing. I enjoyed chatting with the regulars about various things. The road on the way there was a bit scary in places because it was a narrow mountain path, but we all took turns giving way to each other. The maple leaves are still yellow, so I think they'll be at their best around mid-November. I will definitely come again.

I visited during the day on a weekday in September. They accept various payment methods in addition to cash. It was 600 yen per adult (as of October 2025). First of all, the building is beautifully constructed upon entering. The shoe lockers are not locker-style. The hot spring water is sodium bicarbonate. The view is great because there's a river right in front of the bath, but unfortunately, it's only an indoor bath. After your bath, you can relax in the tatami-floored rest room. The terrace of the adjacent teahouse is also recommended, as you can relax while listening to the murmuring of the river.

It's about an hour's drive from Shizuoka Station. A shuttle bus reservation is required. It's a hot spring located in the mountains. The valley view alone is mesmerizing 🥰 Being surrounded by nature, I completely relaxed. The hot spring temperature was the most comfortable I've ever experienced, and the view from the window while soaking was amazing. I kept thinking how glad I was to come. The entrance fee is 600 yen, and they accept WeChat Pay and Alipay. The hot spring and the adjacent tea room are connected, which is very convenient. The staff were very friendly. I would love to come again.

Date of visit: 2025/2/8 I stopped by on my way back from seeing the frozen waterfall at Fukuyo Falls early in the morning 😀 The temperature near the falls was -10 degrees and there was a lot of snow, so I wanted to warm up my cold body, so I waited before the store opened and took a bath when it opened at 9:30. The fee is 600 yen for adults. There are many heaters in the building, which is "relieving." The hot spring is a good spring with a thick water that makes your skin smooth. After the bath, I was able to relax in the spacious Japanese-style room 😀
