藤河内湯～とぴあ

Morning Bath, May 31, 2025 I arrived around 10:15 AM, and the mother was working outside when she asked, "Are you taking a bath?" I answered, "Yes," and she said, "I'll go and see how hot it is." After a while, she said, "It's 39°C now. Do you want to take it easy? It'll heat up soon." I replied, "I'll just take a leisurely soak." I paid the 530 yen bathing fee and entered the bathroom, which was simply furnished with only a changing rack. After washing my body, I got into the tub. The water was still a little warm, colorless and transparent, with no noticeable scent. After soaking for a while, my personal thermometer read 40°C, and it didn't go any higher. I got out and took a break in the shower area. There were four shower faucets, and soap, shampoo, and something that I'm not sure was rinse, conditioner, or treatment. I soaked in the tub again, warmed up, and took breaks, repeating this process until I was able to bathe alone for about an hour. The water is so warm that you stay warm even after you get out of the bath. The facility is deep in the mountains, and the roads are very narrow in places. A large car might not be suitable, but a light rental car was just right. Please drive carefully if you go.

I stopped by on my way back from Fujikawachi Valley. 430 yen per person There are separate men's and women's baths. There is no family bath. The bath has clean water. When you open the window, you can see the river and enjoy the beautiful green scenery while bathing. It was summer, so the water was lukewarm. I was able to take my time soaking. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap were provided. No one else was there, so I had the bath to myself. No explanation was given, but lockers are located just before the rest area on the right as you enter. I didn't know about them, so I didn't use them. No charge. There was a hair dryer and tissues provided in the changing room. After bathing, I let myself feel the breeze from the fan. The window was open, so the natural breeze and the fan were very pleasant. There were no baskets, but there were lockers. There were four washing areas. On my way back, they were selling ice cream, so I bought two. They were 300 yen for two. A while after bathing, my feet felt so smooth. Bathing in clean water is so nice (*´︶`*)♡

Stop by on your way back from climbing Mt. Natsuki. About 20 minutes below the Natsuki Shindo trailhead. After descending the mountain, you can immediately enjoy a dip in the hot springs. 👍 You can see the flowing valley from the bath. 😃 Adults: 530 yen. Indoor bath only. Amenities like shampoo and a hair dryer are provided. Soft, refreshing spring water. Water quality: Weakly alkaline, simple cold mineral spring, pH 8.1, spring temperature 21°C, heated.

Large motorbikes should be careful on the left-hand curve at the entrance to the hot spring. There are no mirrors, so it's best to check for cars coming from above while going uphill. Please be careful of oncoming vehicles on the way. There is a rest area at the hot spring, so don't oversleep. From the bathroom, open the window and enjoy the soothing sound of the river.

The water here is so so. Nothing special. However , it's a great little onsen because it's the only one in the area, and it's a great place to warm up at after swimming in the beautiful, nearby river. Cold river plus hot spring= fantastic day. It's also a great place to wash up at if you are camping at the nearby campground.
