Futomi Meisen, Man'yo no Yu (hot springs)

[Updated and re-uploaded February 2026] Restaurant price hikes are crazy! ⚡️ In just a year, the price of thick, flaky fried noodles went up by 290 yen...😫‼️ Overall, meals cost around 1000-2000 yen...💧 ▪️ Thick, flaky fried noodles (1390 yen + extra large portion 150 yen) ▪️ Shoyu yakisoba (1290 yen) ▪️ Small bowl of negitoro (simmered fatty tuna) (590 yen) With prices this high, it's impossible for locals to afford it on a daily basis. 👎😣 On the middle day of a long weekend, it took 30 minutes for my meal to be served ( ˊ̱˂˃ˋ̱ )👎 Hmm... I guess it can't be helped... ♨️About the hot spring♨️ It's an old facility, so the carpets are tangled in hair, the chairs are worn out, and the tiles are peeling... It can't be helped💧 I think it'll collapse someday... But... The water is very smooth and gentle on the skin✨ The sauna is humid, and the cold bath is the perfect temperature, so it feels great🆗😍 Bathing in the open air feels great... Well, it's less crowded than the surrounding hot springs, so you can relax. But the meals are really expensive😣... November 2024, Day Trip♨️ Good water quality, less crowded (weekdays), delicious food, The view from the open-air bath is amazing✨ This is my favorite Manyo no Yu location‼️ The indoor bath is free-flowing, and the open-air bath is circulated. The indoor bath's water quality is definitely thicker and more moisturizing. ✨ Even my rough skin has been soothed. The sauna temperature is a little lacking, but within acceptable limits. The cold bath is 17 degrees, but the taps offer cold water. 👍 The open-air bath, with its sweeping views of Sapporo city, is particularly noteworthy! ️It's amazing. The air is clean and the breeze is great, so it's perfect for relaxation. lol You can also see the occasional train passing by. 🚃, and occasionally, a plane bound for Okadama buzzes overhead. ✈️ The sunsets and night views are beautiful. 😍 The food isn't particularly generous, but it's a good portion and delicious. ❤️ The daytime and restaurant staff are very polite. The late-night staff are rude. Maybe they're just socially awkward. (😡) It's a bit more expensive than a regular public bath, but ▪️It's always empty ▪️The nap room is also available ▪️It's clean and there's no strange smell ▪️The hot water and dressing room are clean And with that, you can enjoy it from 10am until late at night I have absolutely nothing to complain about. I used the hot spring from the evening on a weekday until 9am the next morning. The hot spring had three baths, including a jacuzzi and an open-air bath. The largest bath was wonderful, with a very spacious feel. There were plenty of washing areas, and they had everything you need, including shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and exfoliating towels. There's even a sauna! The relaxation area has a women-only zone and a sleeping area, so I think it's a very comfortable space (although other guests can't help the snoring, lol). I also used the restaurant in the evening and morning, and thought it was great - it was spacious and the staff were very friendly! I'd definitely like to go again 😆

This was my first time using the hot springs for a day trip. Thanks to a campaign for adding friends on LINE, the entrance fee was reduced from ¥1,800 to ¥1,100, making it a great deal. The front desk staff were also very kind and polite. The hot spring water was great for my skin. There was an indoor bath with free-flowing hot spring water, which warmed me from the inside out. This was my first time using the exfoliation beauty treatment, and the treatment was very thorough. The facility also has a free rest area, dining area, kids' corner, games corner, and a shop, so you can relax and unwind.

I visited for a spa day and did not stay overnight. While the staff were kind and accommodating, the main point of interest for me was the open air cypress bath. Unfortunately, the doors were broken and could not be opened for "open air" and there was construction going on in the open air bath next door which was very audible. The staff were very apologetic and we enjoyed a nice lunch and the game center. It is just a shame we could not fully enjoy the open air bath. :(

Beautiful place during the winter. Futon was extremely comfortable and onsen was great, including the private family bath we were easily able to reserve for just the two of us. The food was good, but not exactly what I would expect from a Japanese ryokan in terms of balance. However, this would probably be a good choice for people who are less comfortable with fish and want to try other meats in Japanese cuisine.
