Hakusanichirino Hot Spring

Tenryo is a day-trip hot spring facility tucked away in the middle of the Hakusan mountain range. It's located in a section of a ski resort, so it's mostly visited by winter bathers, so it's quite deserted! The water is slightly salty and a little hot. The open-air bath is a spectacular rock bath with a sense of openness, and bathing in the snowy scenery is sure to feel refreshing. Please note that if you're heading towards Gifu, you'll need to take a considerable detour, except for the Hakusan White Road (a toll road closed in winter, 1,600 yen one way for standard vehicles).

As of December 18, 2021, it appears to be closed. When I call, no one answers, only a ring, and no message is sent. It's not clear even on the official website that it's closed. It's a hot spring I wanted to go to, but if the service is this bad and it remains closed, I've lost all desire to go. It's unclear whether it's closed or has already closed. There may not be much snow this season😅? But at Ichirino Onsen Ski Resort, even if there isn't much snow, the north-facing slopes freeze when the temperature drops below zero overnight, so the snow doesn't melt easily. This means you can still ski even in years when other ski resorts are closed due to lack of snow, so as long as there's snow, you'll be fine! This season's skiboarding trip is all about Ichirino Onsen❤️

Around March, when there was still snow remaining, I was able to use the restroom, but I didn't meet anyone and there was an apology note posted saying that the hot springs could not be used. I tried calling yesterday, but there was no sign of anyone coming out, so I ended up not going there. I wonder what happened? I'm worried. It's been a long time since I last went there, so I'd like to use it again.

Last April, a landslide was confirmed in Ozoe, Hakusan City, measuring approximately 300 meters high and 190 meters wide. This landslide damaged the hot spring's piping, resulting in a continued lack of hot spring water reaching Ichirino Onsen. (This is from a news report...)
