Hana no Yu

This is information from my visit to Hana no Yu on January 31, 2025, around 8:00 AM. Despite the snowfall that had been falling since last night, the scenery was covered in snow, but there were surprisingly many people there. It's close to the roadside station, has a large parking lot, is open from early morning until late at night, and has excellent facilities for a reasonable price, making it a great hot spring resort for travelers. The facility opened in 2006. It's open from 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM, and costs 450 yen for adults. An early bird discount is available until 9:00 AM, reducing the price to 400 yen. Shoe boxes and changing lockers are free. While amenities like body soap and shampoo aren't provided, hair dryers are provided. The bath area has three indoor baths (a high-temperature main bath at 43°C, a medium-temperature jet bath at 40°C, and a lukewarm bath at 35°C), an electric bath, a sauna, and a cold bath. Outdoors, there's one open-air bath, two tub baths, and a simple outdoor bathing area. I couldn't find a hot spring analysis chart posted, so the exact quality of the spring is unknown, but it appears to be a simple, hypotonic, neutral spring that is gentle on the body. It is almost colorless, transparent, tasteless, and odorless, with a temperature of 37°C, a pH of 7.0, and 476mg of dissolved substances. The water doesn't feel very thick. The abundant hot spring water, pumped up on the premises, appears to be supplied to all the indoor and outdoor baths, as well as to the faucets and showers. The indoor lukewarm water in particular is completely free-flowing and does not require heating or adding water, allowing for long soaks, and many people enjoyed soaking in it. The facility also has a radon bedrock bath, a rest area, a restaurant, and a locally produced souvenir shop. It is well maintained and overall gives the impression of being a practical hot spring.

I used it around 9 AM, but it wasn't crowded and was comfortable. ♨️✨ The morning bath was a little cheaper, so it was a double bargain. 🥳🥳 It's also convenient that it's close to the roadside station. I bought a rental towel set and body soap, and everything was included in the towel set. lol 😭 There was no body soap or shampoo in the bath, so you had to bring your own or buy some. 💦 A travel set might be better. 🙆♀️ The hair dryer was average, but there was no hair iron, so I brought my own (there was an outlet. 🔌) The bath temperature was just right. ♨️ It was windy and cold in the open-air bath. 🤧 It was early in the morning, so the restaurant was closed. 😭 They also sold some local vegetables, so it looked like a good place to shop. 🥦

I went there when I visited my parents' house. The first time I went, it was so crowded I couldn't believe it was the end of the year. As someone with a hernia, the electric bath was great! Also, it was a cold day, so the open-air bath felt great! On New Year's Day, I used the stone sauna. The receptionist carefully explained how to use the facility, which I was grateful for! The stone sauna is a little pricey, probably because it comes with amenities and drinks, but it's also open to the regular public bath, so it felt like a good deal. Best of all, it was empty and very comfortable! I also bought a coupon for my father as a New Year's present, so my son and I will definitely be using it again!

Day-trip hot spring ♨️ ¥450 The water is clear and smooth. The source is a little hot. The parking lot is spacious, but it gets quite crowded at night. It's a one-minute walk from the Hirosaki roadside station, so some people walk there from the roadside station. Four indoor baths: source spring, radium mineral bath, electric bath, and lukewarm water (very lukewarm). Sauna and cold bath available. Two open-air baths. Private baths also available. No shampoo or body soap provided. Two free hair dryers available. No outlets, so you can't use your own hair dryer. Two sinks. Lotion available. Ganbanyoku bedrock bath available. Meals available only at lunchtime.

This is a day-trip hot spring located near the roadside station in Hirosaki City. The fee is 480 yen for adults, 170 yen for elementary school students, and 80 yen for infants. The morning bath is 450 yen for adults only. The day-trip rest area is 900 yen per person on weekdays only. Other amenities, fruits and vegetables are also available for purchase, and there is also a restaurant. There are many types of hot springs, and each bathtub is spacious and has a nice temperature. Many hot springs in the Tsugaru region do not have electric baths, but this one does, and can accommodate up to four people.
