Rating 3 This is a hot spring located inside the Angel Forest main reception building. Users of the wood-burning stove sauna house (2000 yen) can use the bath for 700 yen instead of 1200 yen, and the bath is open until 10:00 PM. There is a water dispenser in the changing room's washroom. Shampoo and other amenities are available, and parking and hair dryers are free. Payment (credit card, etc.) is made at the main reception before proceeding to the changing room. The bath area includes: Indoor bath: A hot spring shower (heated for temperature adjustment) on the left; ① Cold bath (not ice cream); ② Hot spring bath with jets (half-body bath possible); ③ Herbal steam bath (herbal steam sauna); ④ Dry sauna (85℃, far-infrared sauna heater, 2 tiers); and ⑤ Rock bath (open-air bath); ⑥ Jar bath; and ⑦ Aromatic bath (also a rotating bath). The hot spring showers, which use natural spring water, and the herbal steam sauna were unusual for me. While herbal baths are common (found in places like Urayasu Mangekyo and Taiyo Health Center), the herbal steam sauna had a wonderful aroma, and I went in about three times. The main reception area has an open atrium, and the second floor serves as a rest area for facility users. The water quality isn't bad, but if you only use the Saiko no Yu bath, it's more expensive than other hot spring facilities, and I wish there were restaurants or other amenities inside. *The images are a compilation of subjects taken at different times of day.

Located on the shores of the lake, within Angel Forest Nasu Shirakawa, this hot spring has a pH value of 9.8, making it ideal for beautiful skin. The thick, alkaline waters gently remove dead skin cells. In addition to the indoor baths, the facility also offers open-air baths (rock bath, reclining bath, tub bath, and fragrant bath), a dry sauna, and a mist sauna (although the sauna may be closed for maintenance). There is also a separate pool, but the changing room is shared with the hot spring, so it can be difficult to find an empty locker on busy weekends. There are only four hair dryers available after bathing, so they cannot be used when the facility is busy. After bathing, a head-to-toe shower using the hot spring water leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. I stay at Angel Forest for about a week every year, and instead of using the bath in my room, I always bathe in this hot spring. My skin always feels more toned even after I return home. Unfortunately, the opening hours are short, from 7am to 10pm.

The skin-beautifying effects and refreshing feeling are incredible!! You can enjoy two types of saunas: a regular high-temperature sauna and a herbal mist sauna!! The indoor bath is a little hot... The outdoor bath is spacious, and the reclining bath, barrel bath, and herbal bath (although it was closed for inspection) are all lukewarm, so you can enjoy a long, relaxing soak!! And best of all, the shower after rinsing is 100% source water, which is super exciting!! The hot spring for dogs ♨ also made my skin super smooth!!

This hot spring is in Angel Forest, but it's also open to guests staying at Snow Peak Shirakawa Kogen. It's open from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. It's nice to be able to wash off the sweat after packing up your tent. There's an open-air bath and sauna, and if you have a swimsuit you can use the pool. There's also a sauna with a medicinal herb scent, and an outdoor scented bath, which this time was citrus. This one didn't smell much. It says the pH is 9.8, which is almost a strong alkaline spring. It also says it's good for skin.

It's available for day trips. It's free for cottage guests, but day trips are a bit pricey at 1,200 yen for adults. The alkaline hot spring water with a pH of 9.8 leaves your skin feeling smooth, and although it contains chlorine, which is typical of circulating hot springs, the smell wasn't noticeable. However, if you're still bothered by it, you might want to avoid it.
