Himawari Hot Spring

Sauna: 12 minutes x 1 Cold Bath: 1 minute x 1 Break: 10 minutes x 1 Total: 1 set Comment: Following on from yesterday, on my way back from climbing Mount Hebi-Toge in Nagano, I stopped off at the nearby "Yu-Shinshu Hiraya Onsen Himawari no Yu" ♨️ JAF discount 🈹 available. The bath was odorless and slippery, and while the open-air bath was partially under construction, they also had a nice waterfall bath. The sauna was a little low temperature, so I stayed in it for a long time. The cold bath was cold ❄️ and it was amazing! The cold baths in Nagano are cold and smell great 👍. There was also a steam sauna. I had lunch here today too. Pork cutlet bowl. The pickles were delicious. I felt so refreshed! Thank you! "Shinshu Hiraya Onsen Himawari no Yu" ♨️

I used the hot springs for a day trip after hiking. You need to buy a ticket from the ticket machine to enter, but when I went the admission fee was 900 yen before the discount, so I wonder if the price has gone up or if it just depends on the time of year... I went around early evening on a weekday, but there were quite a few people there, giving the impression that it's a popular hot spring. The open-air bath was more spacious than the indoor bath, giving it a more open feeling, which was nice. The water was a little slippery, and my skin felt smooth after bathing. There's also a rest room so you can relax.

Shinshu Hiraya Onsen Himawari no Yu is a relaxing hot spring facility where you can spend some time relaxing. The bathing fee is 900 yen, with a nice bonus of just 600 yen on the 26th of each month. The lounge is spacious and perfect for relaxing. As it is adjacent to a roadside station, there is also ample parking. Please note that there are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, so it is a good idea to prepare any necessary items in advance.

Not as cheap as I would expect but it is a nice place to stop by on the way to Takao mountain. There is a nice food corner with pretty decent menu and a souvenir shop together with some local veggies on sale. Visit there any time, but I recommend in winter, especially on a clear sky evening to see a myriad of amazing stars, the view from thrir open bath is mesmerising 🌟🌟🌟

In the same area is Shinshu Hiraya Michi-no-Eki (roadside station). Have steam sauna and hot sauna. Indoor bath is large. Rotenburo is one of the top ones. Very large with hot water on the left side and warm water on the right.
