Hinai no Yu ONSEN

A day-trip hot spring in Hinai, Odate City ♨️ The entrance fee used to be 420 yen, but it seems to have increased again from October 2024. There is also a sauna, and the cold bath feels great. The garden visible from the bathroom is well-maintained and beautiful. The snowy winter scenery is also lovely. There is no open-air bath. The bathtub is made of "natural Towada stone". Water overflows from the cold bath and flows into the passageway, making it cold ^^; No shampoo or body soap provided. There are four sinks. There are two hair dryers available for 100 yen for 5 minutes. You cannot use your own hair dryer. Apparently, it trips the circuit breaker...^^; There is a rest room. I used to be able to eat lunch here, but when I went there recently, the cafeteria was gone. I was a little surprised to see everyone brushing their teeth in the washing area (^^;) Apparently, that's normal in Odate...^^;

I must have mis-entered the navigation system, as I was taken to a strange place at first, but I managed to arrive. There were a lot of cars there, even though it was lunchtime. There was a ticket machine opposite the entrance. I bought one for 360 yen and went to the front desk. The changing room was fairly spacious. There were about 10 other people there. The sauna was to the right as you entered the bathing area. There were over 20 showers. No amenities. There were only three tubs of different temperatures, but no open-air bath. With the coronavirus pandemic in the air, the sauna seemed like it would be crowded, so I passed. The water was colorless, tasteless, and odorless, and had a light taste. However, I couldn't stop sweating after taking a bath, so maybe the water was good.

A pleasant hot spring. Admission for bathing only is 320 yen for adults. The bathhouse has separate baths at temperatures of 41, 42, and 43°C, as well as a cold bath and a sauna. The 41°C bath has a shallow area where you can lie down. The washing area is spacious, and the south side is entirely glass-walled, giving it a very open feel. Coin lockers are 100 yen refundable type, hair dryers are available for a fee, and shampoo and other toiletries are not provided in the washing area. Overall, it's new and clean, and the price is reasonable.

It's surrounded by a concrete block wall, so it's hard to tell it's there unless you're close, and although I often passed by it, I had no idea about it. It costs 360 yen to enter and there's a restaurant, so I thought it was a great hot spring. I left my watch in my clothes basket, but someone returned it to me and kept it at the front desk, which was a great help.
