Hokkaido Hotel Moor Onsen & Sauna

I visited for a day trip in winter. I aimed to go in early in the afternoon, but there were already two people bathing. There are only lockers on one side, so it looks like it would be difficult to use when there are many people. The bath and sauna felt smaller than the photos I saw on the website, etc. It was about the size of a business hotel's large public bath with a small open-air bath. The water was moor, and the quality and temperature were good. For the sauna, you use the bath towels provided in the changing room as a mat. The high temperature was good, but I had trouble knowing the time limit. There are chairs in the open-air space. The view is not great, but the breeze makes it comfortable after the sauna. Even with towels included, I thought 2000 yen was expensive and not worth it.

2022-04-18 I paid 1,800 yen for a sauna. As expected of a new facility, the facilities were incredibly clean. It was relatively warm without the loyly, and even with the loyly, it wasn't so hot it hurt, so I was able to relax. The cold bath was colder than I expected, and my feet hurt, so I couldn't stay in for long. I think it would be a little better in the middle of summer. There were four chairs lined up in the outdoor bath, which made bathing easier.

A popular Tokachi sauna. Doing a loyly on a birch stump is called "Wolly." Depending on the day of the week, the women's room offers an aromatic loyly. The cold water bath is 16-18 degrees. There are about two chairs for outdoor bathing in the bathroom. The outdoor bath feels great. Amenities like towels, bath towels, and shampoo are provided. As you'd expect from a hotel sauna, the prices are a bit high.

I searched for early morning baths in Obihiro while driving my camper van. Hokkaido Hotel came up, so I headed there early and stayed there. The price was a little high at 2,000 yen per person. As expected of a four-star hotel, the service was excellent. The bath and sauna were both excellent. The price was also worth it.

As you'd expect from the most prestigious hotel in Obihiro, the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the facility, and the service from the staff at reception and in the restaurant were excellent! Of course, the food was delicious and I was very satisfied. I'd love to stay again!
