HOSHINO Hot Spring

A bit far away but nothing unreachable, they're many busses daily from town center. Bus no H and M. I also cycled one day from the center to this place, so I know it's doable. It's a lovely well done up onsen, very clean, with an internal space a, a super hot 90 degree C sauna, a ice cold plunge pool in the outdoors and an outdoor hot pool. Lovely area with many restaurants n cafes you could spend 4 to 5 hrs in the onsen plus a nice meal. They also have a small ice skating rink, a little up the hill

The entry fee is 1500 yen, tax not included. The towel was charged separately, 350 yen. So it was 1900/adult. The environment is good but I expected more with this price. There are only one indoor and one outdoor onsen available in the female side.

Overall a nice experience, very clean, good views. Would expect more amenities for this price. There is no indoor communal area for males and females, if you need to wait for your partner. Don't expect onsen quality like kusatsu though!

The onsen was clean... and the indoor onsen was nice, but the water of outdoor onsen was not too hot. The set lunch at the restaurant was delicious.

Beautiful and big place with indoor and outdoor onsen, sauna. Need to rent towel. Although their outdoor scenery is not the best.
