Hotel Tsukasa Maizuru

I had a great stay here. I stayed at a hotel in Maizuru City and answered a survey on my smartphone, which gave me a ¥1,000 cashback and a booklet full of great coupons, so I was feeling pretty good about my stay... The bags that are only distributed to people going to Fujitsu Onsen were surprisingly easy to use. If you don't have enough towels, you can get extra ones at the front desk. So it was really great. To be honest, I was a little disappointed that there was no place to hang hand towels in the bathroom in my room, but other than that, the price was reasonable and it was really good. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

Because it was an inexpensive plan, only smoking rooms were available, so I made a request online, saying in the comments section, "I'd like to change to a non-smoking room if one becomes available," and they were able to give me a non-smoking room. I was very grateful. When you stay, you can use the hot spring facility on the neighboring property for free. Even though I checked in late due to personal reasons, the front desk staff were incredibly accommodating, as the hot spring facility's reception hours were just around the corner. I stayed for two nights, and everyone was kind and flexible at all times. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Maizuru.

Overall, I have no complaints. The room is simple but clean and there are no inconveniences. However, not only was there no microwave in the room, there was no explanation on the floor or how to heat something. It would have been better if there was one near the elevator on the floor. Also, the water dispensers and vending machines are not on each floor, but near the front desk on the first floor. The water is delicious. If you like hot springs, this might be a 5-star rating, but the shower is sufficient, so I'd say 4 stars.

You can stay here for a reasonable price, even during peak season. As everyone has said, the building has a Showa-era historical feel, but the modern amenities are nicely complemented by the ability to watch Abema on the TV via Ethernet (though it's not unlimited viewing, lol). If I could just ask for one thing... The room ceiling has a cram school or hospital-like pattern, so the all-white lighting makes it a bit unsettling. I'd appreciate it if they'd provide a hand-sized orange light, lol.

・A business hotel in the mountains of Maizuru City. Parking is adjacent. Inexpensive. The facilities are older but have been renovated. Rooms are individually air-conditioned. There are outlets around the bed. Hair dryers are available for rent at the front desk. You can use the large public bath at the adjacent inn. Breakfast and dinner are delicious, but it's a bit disappointing when you consider the 2,100 yen difference for a room only option.
