いいもり月の丘温泉

I visited on a weekday afternoon in October 2022. The parking lot is spacious and easy to park in. Upon entering, you write your name and other information at the entrance and buy a bathing ticket for 520 yen. You hand it to the reception and go up to the second floor. The facilities are clean, there are proper lockers, and the bath area has a jacuzzi and an open-air bath. The sauna is small and limited to 4 people, but it's clean. After bathing, there's a tatami room where you can relax, and you can also have a meal there. It was a very good bathhouse.

I used the family bath. Normally, it costs 510 yen per adult plus a 1,020 yen family bath usage fee, but since it happened to be the 26th, the bathing fee was only 300 yen per person. There are two family baths, one Japanese-style and one Western-style, and the bathtubs are probably the same, but the difference seems to be the tatami mats and sofas. The family bath is limited to one hour of use, and you can bring in food prepared in the kitchen located just outside to eat.

The bath water is neither hot nor lukewarm, just the right temperature for a long soak. There is a tatami room where you can relax after your bath, and a smoking area is also available, so it looks like you could spend half a day relaxing there. You are required to wear a swimsuit in the walking bath, but there were many elderly people there during the day on a weekday, so I refrained from going this time. Next time I'll try to go when there are fewer people.

This was my first time using the bath. The price was cheaper than other nearby baths (Omura Yunohana, Huis Ten Bosch Onsen, etc.). At places like Yunohana, it's too crowded on weekends and it's impossible to relax, but here you can relax. The only downside is that, like at Yunohana, it's a rinse-in shampoo. The ones at this facility in particular can make your hair feel rough, so if you're concerned about that, it might be a good idea to bring your own.

I wanted to go to the park and hot springs with my 3-year-old, so we decided to go here. At this time of year, when it's sunny, the playground equipment gets too hot, so even though it was around 11pm, they could hardly play there. It might be more fun if we went on a cloudy day.
