Iyashinoyado Rodem

I used the hot spring for a day trip. I went in the afternoon, but it only opens from 4pm on Sundays, so I went back the next day at noon. The bath was clean, and the spring water was of good quality, so I enjoyed a pleasant bath. The following are the negative points: You don't get your money back from the coin lockers. This is a rare occurrence these days. I wish they would have mentioned this if they weren't going to return the money. The customer service. They threw my change back to me. Also, when I said "thank you" on my way out, they ignored me, perhaps because they prioritized work, even though they could have seen me. The reviews didn't seem bad, so perhaps they treat day trippers differently than overnight guests because they don't get as much out of it.

This is a traditional Japanese hot spring hotel with spacious tatami rooms offering lake views, and the prices are reasonable. For international travelers, there are a few things to note: 1. The owner can only communicate in Japanese; 2. Last check-in time is 10 PM, after which the owner rests; 3. There is no elevator, and rooms on the first floor need to be booked in advance. We almost missed our check-in because we attended a festival in Morioka, but thankfully the owner kindly extended our bathing time, allowing us to fully enjoy and rest.

Stayed in July 2027. As other reviews have said, the hotel is very reasonable and the cleaning is thorough. It's located along the lake, so it's easy to find. There's also a convenience store along the lake. Guests are responsible for their own futons. There are time restrictions on bathing, but it was a pleasant experience. We ate out for dinner, and were given coupons for nearby restaurants. We checked in on a hot day (Morioka was 37 degrees), but we were happy to find the air conditioning on when we entered our room.

Location is great, room is huge and the host was super kind. They even provide some vouchers for discounts in local izakaya and even a free entry ticket for a local dance show which was one of the best experience of this trip. The only negative side was the pillow. So hard and small that it was terrible to sleep on it ( this is very personal, but i can see that it wouldn't be an issue for some other people )

It was a very clean inn. It's a thoroughly streamlined lodging-only inn. There are a few rules, but I don't think it's a problem considering the low price. Just one thing: there were few electrical outlets in the room, and they were located in hard-to-reach places. You might want to buy an extension cord from a 100-yen store and bring it with you. I would like to stay there again.
