The onsen facilities are great. The outdoor area is absolutely gorgeous. The rest areas are also very nice and warm, especially the one by the fireplace. The ice-cream is delicious . However , I don't recommend the restaurant. It took over an hour to get our food, which is especially hard if you are with little children.

Absolutely amazing. The most tastefully designed onsen I've ever been in. Lovely cut volcanic stone and wood everywhere. Huge stones in the main outdoor pool, a great cold plunge, cooler wood tubs off to the side, great food, and some of the prettiest log construction I've ever seen. It's worth a very long drive.

Lovely facility. Not the best onsen I’ve ever been to but was certainly nice. Extensive restaurant and food. Big outdoor baths and a very hot sauna. Lucky it wasn’t busy when I went, I went around 5pm on a Monday evening.

Came across this place driving home from Nagano and was very pleasantly surprised. Great 湯, an actual fireplace, plenty of relax spaces, great pizza, friendly staff, and a thorough selection of お土産。Highly recommended.
