Kagamiyama Onsen

Went here on my YOI pilgrimage but had the best katsudon here! I did not expect it to be great but it’s the best katsudon i’ve ever tasted. The staff were really kind too. It’s quite far from fukuoka but it’s worth it going here. The vibes is ✨✨I did not get to experience the onsen because i have a tattoo 🥲 but a lot of japanese went to the onsen so i guess they have a nice onsen too!

+ Best Onsen in Karatsu + Great for Yuri On Ice Fans + Restaurant is really good too + Parking lot Kagayama Onsen is a really great place to take a bath, relax, and get food. The katsudon here is so good! The interior looks pretty cool. I see why the anime Yuri on Ice modeled Yuri's house based on this place. Good days in Karatsu usually end up here.

I went here on my YOI pilgrimage while in Japan. The YOI merch they had on display was jaw dropping but none was for sale anymore. We ate a katsudon here (of course!) and it was only ok. There are shell fish in the miso soup, FYI for those with allergies. Overall a fine experience for the pilgrimage, but I wouldn't be coming back here for the food.

went here for the katsudon, lingered for the kind staff. staff helped us get our food tickets and offered to take our photos with the yuri on ice stuff. the food was incredible, ive never had better miso or katsudon! the atmosphere is great and its at the foot of kagamiyama and its shrine.

I pretty much came here for the YOI experience, and it did not disappoint. Onsen was quite hot compared to other ones I've been to, and food (katsudon of course) was delicious and cheap!! You have to go even if not a Yuri on Ice fan! It didn't have post onsen milk but I'll forgive.
