Kaiyu

We stayed for two nights with our university-aged son and our dog. We requested a regular room for the first night. It was a spacious Japanese-style room with all the dog-friendly amenities, so we had a comfortable stay. Since our main purpose in the trip was to "view the ocean from our room," the ocean view from our room was amazing. However, in the regular room, the balcony railing blocked our view of the ocean, so we had to sit in an awkward position to see the horizon, which hurt our backs... I wondered what to do, but when I had dinner, it was just right for a middle-aged woman like me. Reviews seem to be mixed about the food, but the broth was really strong. My second son, who is quite picky, said, "Everything was delicious. At other hotels, there are some dishes I don't like, but everything here is delicious." My son has a small appetite for a boy, so the portions were just right. Since I liked the food, I wondered what a good room was like, so I paid the extra and stayed at Hanare Yuragi. The furniture was great! The room interior was great too! I could see the horizon while lying down in futon! I spent almost an hour gazing at the sunset and sunrise from my futon. What's more, there was a Bluetooth speaker in the room, so I could play background music while watching the ocean! The chairs on the balcony were comfortable, and I could enjoy the complimentary beer while watching the ocean! The menu for dinner on the second night was different from the previous day. The waitress told me that they offer a different menu every day for guests staying multiple nights. As expected, it was just right for our taste. The next day's breakfast was also different from the first night, and it was certainly flavorful with dashi broth. I wasn't expecting much from the food, so maybe it just seemed particularly delicious, but I think a different menu every day is a very welcome service for guests staying multiple nights. They also provided a dog cart and a cart for carrying luggage, making it easy to move from the car to the inn. There seem to be mixed reviews about the customer service and waitstaff, and while it wasn't the "perfect service you'd expect at a luxury hotel," the service was warm and homey, and comfortable, with people speaking to you at just the right time. It's an inn that makes me want to visit every year from now on.

I visited with my dog. This is an inn where you can eat and sleep with your dog. Almost all guests also bring their dogs. What I liked most about it was that the meals weren't a buffet, and although it was in a large banquet hall, it wasn't noisy. We had traditional kaiseki meals at table seating, so I could relax and unwind with my dog. You can cook your own hot pot at your seat and eat hot dishes while they're still hot. In the morning, you can also boil and grill miso clam soup and filleted horse mackerel at your seat and eat them while they're still hot. You can also have seconds of rice. The waitresses who serve the food were also kind, giving our dogs jerky and talking to both people and dogs, which made them feel very close to us. There's also a ping-pong table in front of the bath that costs 100 yen for 30 minutes. I actually saw a family enjoying playing table tennis, and they looked very happy. Ah, this is the atmosphere of a nostalgic hot spring inn (even though Kaiyutei is a hotel), and it made me feel at ease. One thing to note is that it's by no means luxurious, and it's not a particularly new hotel. The service and value for money are balanced, and the amenities are minimal. Therefore, it may not satisfy those looking for luxury or luxury. If I had to say something, there were no bath towels. I wish they would provide bath towels. That's about it. Personally, I thought it was a good inn overall, with a good price and a dog-first attitude, allowing you to relax. There was also a guide to nearby facilities that dogs could enjoy next to the entrance, which was useful for visiting the next day. It was a good inn.

We stayed with our family. Yuragi is a hotel with an open-air bath and a terrace. It was our first time traveling with our dog, so we were a little nervous, but the staff were all incredibly dog-friendly, which put us at ease. We rented a cart to get to our room, and we ate our meals in the restaurant, but they were also in the cart. Most guests bring their dogs. My dog is timid and kept trembling, but the staff gave him jerky from their pockets and called out to him, making this a dog-first hotel. The room was clean, and the open-air bath was very pleasant. We had matcha tea in our room, music was playing (volume adjustable), and the attentive hospitality was soothing. We were traveling with elderly guests, and they even brought a shower chair if we requested it. The food was locally sourced and delicious. It's a little pricey, but worth the service. Are the Anpanman and Baikinman figurines that were at the reception still there? I was deeply moved by this sight. The lobby bathed in the evening sunlight. Behind them, the vast ocean. The two enemies, who had been at war for so long, looked so comfortable. And Anpanman was even leaning slightly against the villainous Baikinman. This is truly peace. I would be grateful if the hotel staff would continue to display these figurines somewhere in the lobby. I also plan to stay at the hotel again, so I would appreciate it if you could keep them there until then.

This is an inn where you can stay with your dog. One thing to note is that you will need to transport your dog to your room in a buggy provided by the inn, or by carrying them in your arms. Another great thing about this inn is that the rooms face the ocean and you can walk to the nearby beach. The food is not lavish, but rather simply seasoned with a moderate amount of salt and just the right amount, so when you finish eating you'll think, wow, that was delicious. You can relax here.
