海津温泉 宙舟の湯

It was my first time staying here, and I stayed on a Sunday. I checked in at the reception and paid in advance, and was given a thorough explanation of the hot springs and breakfast. There was a shop selling pickles, sweets, and other local products near the front desk. We each went to our room, and the first thing that surprised me was how spacious it was. It was a twin room, but there was plenty of room for another bed. And while there were no sweets provided, a kettle of ice water was provided, which was a very welcome touch for someone with a sore throat. There is no coin laundry on site, so I used one nearby. There are two hot springs: one (Iyashi no Yu) is open until 9:00 PM, and the other (Choju no Yu) is open until 11:00 PM. In the morning, (Iyashi no Yu) is open from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, and (Choju no Yu) is open from 6:00 AM to 7:50 AM. Although the opening hours are short for a hot spring facility, the water is quite hot and the quality is excellent. This time, I stayed on a Sunday, so in the evening the general public who had only come to take a bath had left (Choju no Yu), and in the morning it was before opening to the general public, so perhaps because it was a weekday, I had the bath (Iyashi no Yu) all to myself. I was very satisfied to be able to relax in the private open-air bath in the morning. The breakfast was by no means luxurious, and had a simple feel to it. I think men might find it lacking. Although it is a rural hot spring facility with poor transportation access, it is an establishment that is part of the lives of local people, and I thought that the accommodation area was kept clean and that simple hospitality was provided.
Day trip visit A miraculous experience for 580 yen: soothed by the golden hot spring water and swallows. The water quality and facilities are both exceptionally satisfying. What's particularly noteworthy is the quality of the water. It's a sodium-calcium chloride spring, characterized by its golden (ochre) color due to its rich iron and salt content. The pH is neutral (isotonic) at around 7.1-7.2, but the salt content provides excellent heat retention and moisturizing effects, keeping you warm for a long time after bathing. Because it warms you to the core, it's incredibly effective for relieving neuralgia, joint pain, and muscle fatigue. Considering the rich, free-flowing hot spring water (apparently some is recirculated), and the variety of baths available, the 580 yen entrance fee is honestly an amazing value. And personally, I love the atmosphere of the open-air bath. When the season arrives, swallows visit, and you can watch them flying around the open-air bathing area and building their nests. Soaking in the high-quality hot springs while idly watching the swallows flit overhead is truly a blissful moment. You'll be enveloped in an indescribable sense of peaceful comfort, as if you've become one with nature. The facilities are meticulously clean, and the changing rooms are spotless. "Inexpensive, with excellent water quality, and incredibly relaxing" This is a superb hot spring that ticks all the boxes and that I can confidently recommend.
I used it as a day spa♨️. There are two bathrooms, excluding the private bath for nursing care, and the "Iyashi no Yu" has a wider variety of tubs and also an open-air bath. "Choju no Yu" only has one indoor bath with water directly from the hot spring. I think this is probably a bathroom for overnight guests. The price is the same for both. This time I used the "Iyashi no Yu"♨️. The indoor baths include a cypress bath, a vibrating bath (which was out of order), a reclining bath, a jacuzzi, a sauna, and a cold bath. The open-air area had a rock bath, a tub bath, and a box sauna‼️. The hot water♨️ was a cloudy brown water that is common in the lower reaches of the Kiso River. The texture and smell were unremarkable. The temperature is around 39-40°C, so even I, who prefers lukewarm water, can comfortably bathe here. 😃 It seems to be a municipally run facility, so it has a strong local feel. lol. 😝 However, the bathroom is spacious, so it doesn't feel too out of place. 😙 The water was great. 😊 1️⃣Shoe lockers/with locks. 🗝️ 100 yen return key. Keep your own key. 2️⃣Bath fee/Ticket machine. 3️⃣Dressing room lockers/with locks. 🗝️Free. By the way, the nearest Starbucks is Tennogawa Park Branch. ☕️
I used this hot spring for a day trip. The price was reasonable, and the facility was very clean. The water was from a natural hot spring source and tasted salty! It was warm and just right! Since it was a weekday morning, the open-air bath was spacious! There were no toiletries like lotion, but I brought my own anyway, so it wasn't a problem. There were hair dryers, so that was sufficient! The facility was spacious, with a relaxation area and a large, comfortable space like a waiting room at a chiropractic clinic, complete with a TV, making it very relaxing. I wanted to check out the restaurant, but it was on the opposite side, so I forgot and went home. The souvenir corner had lots of delicious fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices, just like at a roadside station! It's a place I'd like to visit again if I'm in the area! I'd like to go about once a month! Keep up the good work!
I stayed here alone on a weekday while solo touring. Located in the northern area of Kuwana City, the facility was quiet, surrounded by mostly fields. The facility was like a spa, primarily offering day-trip hot springs but also offering overnight stays. The bathing area was well-equipped, with indoor and outdoor baths, a tub bath, and a dry sauna. The room I stayed in was quite small, as I was focusing on price, but since I was traveling alone, it was comfortable and no issues. The price was reasonable, and I personally found it a good facility. One thing to note is that there are few restaurants in the area, and no convenience stores within walking distance, so it's best to eat your meals beforehand or purchase them along the way.
