掛川つま恋温泉 森林の湯

I went there on February 11, 2026. The resort is located at the top of a hill, about 5 minutes from the National Route 1 bypass and 10 minutes from Kakegawa Interchange. It's far from the station, but there is a shuttle bus. The admission fee is 1,100 yen for adults, regardless of weekends or holidays. If you purchase your ticket in advance through the Nifty Onsen app, it's 950 yen, which I recommend. On my way out after bathing, I realized there was an additional parking fee of 300 yen. The website states that hot spring guests receive 3 hours free, and I was asked to show my parking ticket at the front desk, which I did, but for some reason I was charged at the gate. Was there some kind of mistake? It's frustrating. Payment on site without purchasing a ticket in advance is accepted in addition to cash. PayPay is also accepted. No coins were required for the shoe lockers. Lockers in the changing rooms are available at the front desk, so you don't need to bring any coins. The facility is so large that there is a wide variety of bathrooms. The indoor baths include a cold bath, two other baths, and a sauna, while the open-air baths include a large bath and a jet bath, radiating out from them are a reclining bath, a low-temperature bath, a high-temperature bath, a foot reflexology bath, and an observation bath with a close-up view of Tsumagoi Forest. Each bath is also spacious, so we had plenty of room to relax. The open-air bath in particular allows you to soak in the water while watching the forest in front of you lit up, creating a mystical view. With a scale and view that is rare elsewhere, it may be a new way to enjoy a hot spring. There are also restaurants and rest areas on site, so it's a great place to take your time and relax. There was a parking fee, which was due to my lack of checking, so it can't be helped, but I was more than satisfied with the hot springs!

Unlike regular public baths, this one is located inside Tsumagoi Resort, so you will be guided to a gate. When you say you will be using the hot spring, you will be given a parking ticket, so be sure to hand it over to the hot spring reception. Also, when leaving by car, it can be difficult to find the gate exit, so please head towards the left as you are traveling. We went there around 12:00, and it seemed like we had the place to ourselves. We were able to relax in the bath. It's more of a hot spring where you can enjoy various things than just a hot spring. The sauna (with a TV) is large enough to fit about 40 people, and I was the only one there. It's a little slippery, so please walk slowly.

We used it while staying at Tsumagoi Resort. It's separate from the accommodation building so we expected it to be a hassle to get there, but it wasn't too bad to take the bus and the kids were happy. The facilities are a little old in places, but I think they're clean considering their age. Some of the baths were empty, but the open-air bath was nice. As for the view, the trees are too overgrown so you can't see far away, so I think it needs some maintenance. The sauna had large windows which gave it a nice open feeling, which was great.

It's supposed to be a natural hot spring. However, it seems the water is transported from elsewhere. The men's and women's baths are switched daily, which is fun. The baths are different in size and design, which made it exciting. Guests staying at the hotel could enjoy it for free.

A great place to spend the day with the family. We did various activities and had lunch at the buffet. Everything was stellar.C
