カルナパーク花立山温泉

My family and I have used this hot spring facility several times. It's mostly frequented by older people, so the atmosphere is more relaxed than it is for young people, but we really like the peaceful space. My family and I have previously used the hot springs and gone on day trips for meals, so this was our first time staying overnight. I'm not sure if it's okay to mention his name in a review, so I'll keep it a secret, but the male staff member who helped us with our reservation listened very carefully to what we had to say. He not only suggested a room, but also explained all the small details clearly, such as the fact that we could use the large public bath even before check-in, which I was very impressed with. Our stay is still a while away, but I'm already looking forward to it. Thank you so much for your courteous service throughout, even though I had to call back several times due to my own mistake. My family and I used to occasionally go to the lunch buffet, which cost around 1,000 yen. My parents said it was fine even though the selection was limited, considering the price. The prices have gradually increased, and since the selection of food and drinks hasn't improved, it's become too expensive, so my parents stopped going. The prices are rising due to bad government policies and show no signs of abating, so I expect prices will continue to rise (in all industries). The Mikado Hotel's lunch buffet, where we used to go as a group when it was cheap, has also gone up in price, and it seems like the number of customers has plummeted. If something is priced higher, unless there's another benefit, customers will only stay away. If the lunch buffet is cheap, people might think, "Maybe I should take a bath before going?" The building is aging, so it makes me think they need to think about events and food.

I used it on my way back from Kurume. The building and interior have an undeniable Showa to early Heisei era feel, but the quality of the spring water and the size were impeccable. The indoor baths have both lukewarm and normal temperatures (apparently in response to customer requests), which were very pleasant. If I had to say something, it would be that the price is a bit high? I guess that's the going rate around here. Locally, it's 700 yen for non-members. They were running a campaign, so it was 900 yen, and then an additional 500 yen because the men's bath was out of order, so I got a good deal.

The building is old but clean. The low-temperature sauna is always broken. The lunch buffet has gone up in price, but it was better before. The hot water is very good. I prefer Japanese-style baths to Western-style ones, but for some reason I always end up with Western-style baths. I really like how they take good care of the outdoor cats, so I go there several times a year. The other day I was impressed to see that they had prepared winter-suited sleeping areas.

By chance, the day I visited was a discount day, so I had to wait in line to enter and pay at the reception. The bath itself was spacious, with a variety of tubs and an open-air bath, so I was able to relax. The indoor bath probably had a bit too much chlorine, as I could smell chlorine after getting out. The open-air bath had a nice sulfur smell, just like a hot spring, but...
