Kashihara Pokapoka Onsen

It was my first full day off in about a month, so I decided to visit this hot spring facility to wash away the grime that had built up all over my body. 😚 I took the Kintetsu train from Abenobashi Station and arrived at Ukina Station in just under 40 minutes. From the station, I trudged along a path surrounded by tranquil nature, passing fields, residential areas, a small stream, and a row of cherry blossoms (probably...) completely bare of leaves. After a short walk, I arrived at the facility. 😚 There were shoe lockers on the first floor. It's not coin-operated, so you don't need 100 yen coins. Then, on the second floor, there was a ticket machine. I paid with PayPay, so I paid directly at the front desk instead. 😚 It was Friday, and the parking lot was quite crowded, so I thought it might be quite crowded, but it was surprisingly laid back once I got inside. Speaking of hot springs... In addition to indoor and outdoor baths, there was also a Chinese herbal bath and a stadium sauna. The outdoor baths offered a variety of options, including a tub bath, carbonated hot spring, cypress bath, and reclining bath. To the far right of the outdoor bath, there were two huge tub baths. If you're alone in one of them, you might find that half of the bath is blocked off from the other baths, giving it a nearly private feel that's incredibly satisfying. 🥳 The cypress baths are quite hot, though. 😔 Be careful! 😱 However, something happened on this day. 😶 While I was soaking in the indoor bath, I noticed an old man sitting on the edge of the same bath, facing outward. He looked quite tired. But I didn't pay it much attention and was just staring blankly when suddenly, a young employee came in with a straw and a clear plastic cup full of water and went straight to the old man 😳 I thought, "Huh!?", but then the employee quickly handed the cup of water to the old man and started talking to him 🫢 Looking more closely, I saw that the old man was... staggering around 😱 The old man... must have been exhausted after all 😔 The employee gave him some water and then took his hand and led him to a chair nearby 😥Wow... what a support system!! ️💥🌋🎉💢And then... what a surprise...😶!! ️...About four or five of the naked customers nearby gathered around and all tried to lend a hand to the man, but the man just smiled and said, "Oh...thank you...☺️But it's okay...😉," and gently urged the people who had gathered there to get back to their bathing times 😔Wow, I had never seen anything like this before so I was a little surprised, but...it made me think that I have to be careful too 🤔It was especially warm that day compared to this time of year, so I made sure to drink plenty of water before getting into the hot spring 😚After leaving the hot spring, there was a Sushiro right nearby so I enjoyed some delicious sushi with my body feeling refreshed, then I trudged back down the same way I came and took the train back to Abenobashi 😌It was so much fun!! ️💥🌋💢🌋The sushi was delicious too~~~🍣Oh, and...😤Also...about 20 minutes after leaving Abenobashi Bridge, the scenery outside the train window was completely filled with rural mountains...As mentioned above, it was especially warm that day, and the clear blue sky made it an incredibly pleasant day, so the view from the train, which I hadn't seen in a while, was seriously amazing~~~😆😆😆Thank you‼️I'll go again❤🌋💢🫰🎉♨️👏
Today I visited the newly opened Kashihara Pokapoka Onsen! Wow! It was even better than I expected! The parking lot is on the first floor and has plenty of spaces. Put your shoes in and go up to the second floor! Payment is by cash at the ticket machine, and PayPay is also accepted at the shop inside the building! The baths are spacious and clean, and there are plenty of washing areas, which is great! There are lots of bathtubs, so you can really enjoy yourself! Now, about the sauna room... has it been renovated? It's very clean and has a nice feel to it! The stove is a Showa-era strong-type gas stove, and the humidity inside the sauna was low. The thermometer in the cold plunge pool wasn't working, but it was nicely cold! And then there's everyone's favorite part: relaxation and fresh air bathing. I was able to enjoy some good fresh air bathing, which was great! 🙆 This time I did 4 sets: Carbonated bath and hot water rinse → 6 minutes in the sauna → less than 1 minute in the cold bath → 8 minutes fresh air bath 8 minutes in the sauna → a little over 1 minute in the cold bath → 10 minutes fresh air bath 11 minutes in the sauna → a little over 1 minute in the cold bath → then to the open-air reclining bath. This way of bathing is the best! Rinse in the pot-shaped bath → herbal steam sauna 6 minutes → sauna 8 minutes → less than 1 minute in the cold bath → 8 minutes fresh air bath There were quite a few people in the sauna room, but the chairs for the fresh air bath were empty, so I could sit down whenever I wanted! For today's post-sauna meal, I had zaru udon, fried burdock root, fried octopus, and finally Amaou strawberry soft serve ice cream inside the facility. Everything was delicious! Kashihara Pokapoka Onsen is great! I'll come again!!
Kashihara Poka Poka Onsen was amazing. I especially liked the electric bath and jet bath; it felt like my fatigue was slowly being released. The carbonated hot spring was also really nice, and I ended up staying in for a long time. There were plenty of open-air baths, including a tub bath and a reclining bath, so I was able to relax while enjoying the outside air. There were good quality hair dryers available. However, the space between the lockers and hair dryers was L-shaped, so you might bump into other people if it's busy. Body soap and rinse-in shampoo were also provided, so it was no problem to show up empty-handed. There was a wide selection of drinks, and I was happy to find my favorite yogurt drink available after my bath. There were also samples of beauty serums available, so this was an onsen with many great features until the very end.
I often use this bath after a night shift. The bath is relaxing and soothing. It seems like the water quality is tested frequently, and even though I often stay there from morning to evening, I always see it being tested no matter what time of day I'm bathing. The dining staff are always cheerful and nice. The food and drinks are relatively reasonably priced. I often order mega mugs and mega highballs. The three-item snack set is also great. The rest area is very spacious, and they even have a Yogibo, so I can take a nap. It's the perfect space after a night shift. My night shift location has moved to Hokusetsu, so I'm sad that I can go less frequently. I hope to be able to go again soon.
The entrance has bad perfume smell. I don't want to watch or hear TV even inside bathroom because too many negative news and laud stupid programs. My eyes always tired. But there are nice jacuzzi for lower back and Chinese traditional Kampo sauna room. Also the manga and tatami room for rest are wonderful. My body keeped "Pokapoka" for a long time. We can go bathroom again after taking rest or eating, great. If we register as a email member, there's ¥480 day every months.
