Kashio Onsen Saijo

A house. Just someone's house. It looked like a regular home, so much so that I wondered if this was actually a secret hot spring. I entered the entrance, hesitantly introducing myself, and the receptionist came to collect my payment. The bath itself was a cute little bathtub, a slightly larger version of a regular bathtub. It probably wouldn't fit three people comfortably. About 38-39 degrees? It was pretty lukewarm, like I could stay in it forever, but it still had a nice warming effect. It said it was a radon hot spring. The spring water reminded me of Pokemon. The free-flowing water was amazing. The water was clear and smooth. There were two washbasins, shampoo, and body soap. (I felt relieved to have the feeling of taking a bath at home.) You can borrow a hair dryer in the lounge after you've finished bathing. (Thank goodness.) The bathing fee was 800 yen. I guess that's about average for a hot spring in Okayama. The parking lot is a little further away (about 50m) and can probably fit about 6-7 cars if you park properly. (However, the bathtub size is quite compact.)

I was looking for a hot spring on my way to a drive and decided to give it a try. Adult admission was 750 yen, and shampoo and body soap were provided. A staff member came from the back and handed the payment to me. At first glance, the exterior didn't look like a hot spring, so I hesitantly went in, wondering if this was really the right place (lol). The interior layout also didn't look like a hot spring. I was surprised because it was my first time experiencing something like this. There was also only one bathing area, which looked like a larger version of a bath at home (lol). There was also only one shower in the washing area. Simple is best. The hot spring itself was lukewarm, allowing for a long soak. Just the way I like it! Long soaking in the water helped me recover from fatigue. It was a bit of an old-fashioned, unusual hot spring, but that's what made me want to come back again! (lol) The ease of soaking in the hot spring and the comfort were the best I've ever experienced.🙇♂️ This hot spring truly deserves the title "secret hot spring."

This is a day-trip hot spring facility located alone in the suburbs. It has a rustic, hidden hot spring feel. There is one bathtub for men and one for women, as well as a family bath. The men's and women's baths are tiled, but the family bath feels more like a hotel-style bath, which may feel a little out of place. The water is of good quality, with a slightly slimy feel and a sulfurous smell. They also offer a free service if you collect points on their point card. Parking is available. This is one hot spring I hope will continue to be visited. Thank you very much.

This is convenient since there are no bathing facilities nearby. The building has a "typical Showa" feel, and it looks like it used to be a guesthouse. There are lockers for valuables, a hair dryer, and soap, but I recall there being no shampoo. (I brought my own...) There are two areas to relax after bathing, and the air conditioning is on. The bath is small with two washing areas, but it uses natural hot spring water (heated). Drinks can be ordered by calling. There is a gravel parking lot across the road, a short walk uphill. (1-minute walk) Cash only.

After opening the sliding door and waiting at the entrance for a while, a staff member will come and you can pay. There are a limited number of lockers available for valuables, so it's best to bring only your stamp card and bath fee. The hot water is outstanding. Your body will feel warm from the inside out after bathing. Your skin will be smooth and you won't need lotion. The water pressure in the shower is indeed low, but this is a hot spring where you enjoy the hot water, so it's not a problem.
