Kawara No Yu

Love this onsen! It used to be a day-spa, but they also have accommodation so you can also stay the night. There is a nice selection of baths, plus a yukata is included in the price of bathing if I recall rightly?! The location is great, just 10min walk from Ogawamachi Station or take a stop or two on the bus. The baths back onto forested hills so you can take in the changing foliage while you soak and relax. If that doesn’t sound great already, they have two restaurants, a bar, a foot-bath, Japanese gardens and two types of massage salon—acupressure and oil massage. And yes they have parking! As for prices, once it all adds up you will have spent a bit of cash so if you’re on a budget, just go for afternoon tea time!!

Very nice onsen in Ogawamachi. Friendly staffs , good onsen and good foods There also have scrub and aroma oil massage course from 60mim . I had 90 minutes course for 1200 yennit including lymph massage and face too. It was so relaxing and refresh.. House wear ( Japanese kimono) and towel combo for 1800 yen. You can stay all day long. I had fried chicken and rice combo for my lunch. Ice cream was so delicious 🤤🤤.
Excellent onsen with various baths, sauna, massage rooms , restaurant and many relaxing areas. Though a bit pricey in comparison to normal day use onsens, it was worth it. Decor and ambiance is very good.
The place is really clean, not expensive at all and very relaxing. There isn't much space so I guess It could become easily crowded, but on the other hand and is quiet.

Make a day of it — a quick-dry towel, dry bag, and post-soak layers take almost no pack space.
