Two families, five people, stayed in a Japanese-Western room. They provided two extra sets of futons for the children, which they laid out in the tatami room during meal times. We had a very spacious room and were able to relax. For dinner, we had wild boar hotpot, but the amount of vegetables and meat was so much that three adults couldn't finish it. We couldn't even finish the final bowl of udon noodles. If you have a small appetite, it's best to ask in advance to reduce your portion size. The hot spring water is clear and colorless, and has a viscous texture. It warms you up very well. Many locals use the baths as day trips, so it's recommended to go after dinner or in the morning. Ikeda Town itself is a pleasant place to spend time, and is especially recommended for families with children.

The hot springs were particularly outstanding. The distinctive viscosity of sodium bicarbonate springs, with a soft texture that seemed to cling to the skin, allowed me to feel the blessings of nature firsthand. The food was robust yet delicate, utilizing local game and mountain produce. The presentation also had a rustic aesthetic, allowing me to enjoy each and every dish at my own pace. The staff's friendly service, with just the right amount of distance, was also very pleasant. While this isn't a place for convenience or glamour, it was an evening of luxury that I couldn't imagine being more comfortable for adults seeking quiet self-care. I'd like to return in a different season.

I visited for the first time in several decades. The quiet, peaceful atmosphere remained unchanged, and the hot springs were great 😊 Many people have posted that the open-air bath is dirty, but please understand that it's a natural carbonated spring, so it's natural for people to float easily in the water. Didn't bubbles form on your body and warm you up within a few minutes? More than that, I was disappointed to see a tattooed man repeatedly using the sauna and cold bath. He's a pathetic man with no pride whatsoever, knowing that he might not be able to use public facilities if he gets tattoos.

The last time I went here, the quality of the water was so good that I couldn't help but recommend it to my friends! The moment you step into the bath, it feels soft on your skin, and after soaking for a while, you'll notice that your skin naturally becomes smoother! It's not flashy, but it's comfortable to be able to relax in a quiet and calm atmosphere, and the open-air bath in the morning was especially great with the clear air. I think it's perfect for people who want to fully enjoy the hot spring itself, and I'd like to drop in again when I'm feeling tired.

Visited on October 12, 2025 ¥700 per adult Approximately seven washing stations. Horse oil body soap, shampoo, and conditioner provided. Two indoor baths, one cold bath, one sauna, and one open-air bath. Dressing room. Three hair dryers (free). Plenty of locker lockers (no locks) + coin-operated valuables lockers available. The carbonated hot spring is lukewarm in the indoor bath and slightly hotter in the open-air bath. The water is also excellent for your skin.
