I visited last year and was impressed by the number of open-air baths and the smooth, silky spring water, so I decided to return on a day off. The baths open at 10:00 AM, so I arrived just in time. The weather was nice (and warm), and the open-air baths, with the sun shining in the open-air baths, felt like I was playing in the river. The smaller open-air baths (waterfall baths and reclining baths) lined up along the mountain side were in the shade, so sunburn wasn't a concern. As others have mentioned, some of the open-air baths on the mountain side were closed due to construction. This time, the entrance to the men's bath was on the right, but I think it was on the left when we visited last year. I was hoping to enjoy a variety of open-air baths with different baths, but it was a bit disappointing. My companion also mentioned that there were some places on the way to the mountain side that lacked handrails, which might be a concern for elderly people. However, the water was very smooth and not sticky, making it very comfortable. As of September, the restaurant's recommended ticket for unlimited access to the hot springs and a charcoal-grilled set meal costs ¥1,850, which may actually be a good value.

I used this bathhouse during my trip. It's located deep in the mountains, so the autumn leaves are sure to be beautiful. Adults: ¥700. Get a ¥100 discount with the JAF discount. The changing room is spacious. However, there are only three hair dryers, which can be a problem if someone stays in the bath for a long time. The washing area is large, and the indoor bath is also spacious and relaxing. I was looking forward to using this bathhouse because I heard there were four open-air baths! However, at the time of my visit, two of the women's baths were closed. Only the largest open-air bath and a reclining bath located upstairs were available. It's a shame. I was also bothered by a noise that sounded a bit like a boiler. There is also a rest area and a small souvenir shop.

It's been decades since I last went. The cave bath is gone and the atmosphere at the entrance has changed so much that I can't even remember. The open-air bath is nice, but there are leaves and garbage floating in it, and there were several outdoor baths... It can't be helped since it's natural, but there were a lot of ants... The path isn't flat, so elderly people can't go up to the top. It felt good after the bath. The water was smooth and silky. I'll go again. They sell seasonal vegetables, so you should buy some on the way there. I heard they'd have some on the way back, but the one I wanted was sold out on the way back.

The bath was large, which was nice. There was a fairly large open-air bath at the moment. It had just opened, so there weren't many people, which was nice. What surprised me a little was that the chairs at the washing area were made of stone, so I felt cold as soon as I sat down. Lol. The water was lukewarm, so I was able to take a long bath. The rest room was large and had tatami mats, so I could relax. I also ordered a set meal with a young chicken set meal, which was great value for money. The large portion of rice is a must, as you can have TKG. Personally, I liked the chicken well-grilled and with a little soy sauce.

It was great! Personally, I liked the spaciousness of the indoor bath, the number of washing areas, and the large tatami space in the relaxation area. The open-air baths had a wide variety of types, which made me feel excited, like I was at a theme park, but be careful as there's almost no roof so rainwater comes in and the footing is unstable... The maple trees all around were lush and green, preparing for autumn, so I'd like to come back again on a sunny autumn evening.
