北広島温泉 楓楓 (ふうふう)

This hot spring facility is attached to the Sapporo Kitahiroshima Classe Hotel. It's located on a hill a little away from residential areas, but it seems to be a favorite among locals. It's usually open until 10 p.m., which is a nice change of pace. The price is a little high at 1500 yen, but compared to Mori no Yu and Honoka in Kitahiroshima City, it's likely less popular, and given the need to heat the hot spring, perhaps it's unavoidable in these times. The hot springs offer a variety of options: three indoor baths, an open-air bath, a sauna, a mist sauna, and a cold bath. The open-air bath is a standard size, and the views are especially beautiful. It makes you feel like you're in the mountains. Even though it's on the same hill, the scenery is different from Mori no Yu. Incidentally, the hot spring is located at an elevation of 90 meters. The heated, circulating hot spring water overflows properly, so impurities don't float. The indoor baths have 38-degree and 42-degree baths, with daily specials. I chose the mint bath. It's 38 degrees and has a jacuzzi, so it's quite good. Because of this, the turnover is slow. Neither bath is particularly spacious. The water is the typical moor spring found in the Ishikari Plain. It's an alkaline sodium chloride bicarbonate spring. The humus content of moor springs is slightly low at 8.6 mg per kilogram. As a result, the water is brown, more like coffee or cola than black water. There's a mist sauna outside. The temperature is in the 50s. Apparently, it uses Beitou stone from Tamagawa Onsen. There's also a regular sauna inside, which is just over 90 degrees, so it's quite hot. It can fit a little over 10 people. It's not a loyly bath. The cold bath is around 16-17 degrees, which I personally find just right. There's a space for outdoor bathing, but there are only two two-person chairs, so it's a little under-capacity. There's space, so it would be better if they installed bed chairs or something similar. There are several chairs inside. As it's a hotel, the washing area has amenities, as you'd expect. You can also adjust the temperature. There is a water dispenser in the changing room. The water doesn't flow well, but it's nice and cold. The lounge on the hotel side is spacious and has a great view. There are also manga and massage chairs. It's very comfortable, and for all that, I wouldn't be dissatisfied with paying 1,500 yen. If the bath, washing area, etc. were a little larger overall, I'd just about give it five stars.

(January 16, 2022) I finally got to visit Kaede Kaede, a place I've been wanting to go to for a long time (’-’*)♪ Even though they're all called moor springs, the water quality varies from facility to facility, but the water quality here is really good ♨️ I used the bathing service as part of a lunch set, and headed straight to the bathhouse❗️ The indoor baths offer three options: today's special (lemon) at 37℃, moor spring at 42℃, and moor spring at 38℃ ♪ The open-air bath is also a moor spring, and bathing in it while it's snowing is the best (*ﾟДﾟ*)! This power! They have a 90℃ dry sauna here, but what I liked best was the mist room on the open-air bath side ^ ^ It's a bedrock dome facility using "Hokutolite," a natural mineral said to be found only in Tamagawa Onsen in Akita Prefecture, and black silica ore! I think it's set at around 45℃, but the thick, misty atmosphere is just fantastic ⤴️ It's amazing to be able to relax and detox at the same time ♪ I also used the dry sauna on the indoor bath side, and the humidity setting was just right, making it a sauna that really gave me a feeling of power! The cold bath is 16℃, a temperature perfect for a leisurely cool-down ♪ They also sell various amenities and souvenirs next to the reception ^ ^ This hot spring hopping trip was fantastic, and I got to soak in some great baths (〃´o｀)=3Whew

This hot spring facility is attached to Kitahiroshima Grasse Hotel (formerly Korakuen Hotel). The dark brown water is a moor spring that springs from a lignite bed. It contains a lot of sodium and bicarbonate, making it a refreshing hot spring that also leaves your skin feeling moisturized. The indoor baths include 40°C hot spring water, hot spring water, a medicinal jacuzzi, a dry sauna, and a cold bath. The outdoor bath overlooks the golf course green. The deep green is beautiful. There is also a mist sauna. It is a bit small. The regular price for adults is 1,500 yen. If you enjoy hot springs, we recommend purchasing a multi-ride ticket on the sale days (10th, 20th, and 30th). 13 rides for 8,000 yen. With the stamp, it effectively becomes 14 rides. Previously, there were reclining seats in the rest area, but unfortunately there are only sofas, so you can't lie down and relax after your bath. Lunch is served on the 12th floor of the hotel, where there's a half-buffet where you can choose your main dish for 2,300 yen. The hotel itself is on a hill, so the views are great. There's ample free parking. There's a shuttle bus from Kitahiroshima Station on the JR Chitose Line. Please check the hotel website for details. Route 1080 can get very congested on days after ESCON matches, so it's best to be careful about the time of day.

They had a lunch and hot spring set for 2,000 yen, so I tried it. I arrived on a Saturday around lunchtime, and the huge parking lot was almost full. It seemed to be filled with golfers. Let's start with lunch. The view from the restaurant, located 100 meters above sea level, is amazing. As we headed towards Kitahiroshima Station, we could see the roof of Escon Field. The 2,000 yen hot spring lunch comes with a choice of Western, Chinese, or Japanese food. I chose Chinese and my wife chose Japanese. When I saw it online, it looked small, but it was actually very filling. The beef ramen was packed with toppings, had lots of noodles, and was delicious. It also came with an appetizer and dessert. The Japanese menu included tempura and cold soba noodles, as well as several other dishes that were also very filling. We both ended up full. The moor spring hot spring was very smooth and felt great on the skin. The mist sauna apparently uses rare minerals from Akita Prefecture. The dry sauna was set to a fairly hot temperature of over 90°C. I wish there were chairs to lie down on in the open-air bath. It was a pretty nice hot spring.

This was my first day trip to a hot spring. Since it was a hotel hot spring, I was looking forward to it. The lockers in the changing room had locks and baskets. There were jacuzzis, hot and lukewarm moor hot springs, and the open-air bath was just the right temperature. I tried the mist sauna next to the open-air bath, but I couldn't stand the urine smell, probably because it was only available that day (and I think it was only because of the customers), so I quickly left and went to the regular sauna. There were about four hair dryers, but they were crowded, so there was no place to relax and apply lotion, etc., and I ended up having to wait behind them, so I had to hurry and leave with my hair half-dried... I wish there was a larger space for applying makeup and styling my hair. Well, I guess that can't be helped...it seemed like there were a lot of regulars. 2026.2
