Koedo Hatsukari Hotspring

I headed there from the LaLaport side using Google Maps, but I ended up turning right and going down a gravel road that I'm not sure was a farm road or private property. 🚙 As expected of a roadside establishment, the parking lot is spacious! [Dry Sauna] 3.5m wide, 5m deep, 320cm high The seats are spacious with four levels, and the heat source is a single far-infrared gas heater! [Mist Sauna] 2.2m wide, 3.5m deep, 220cm high There are about five massage chairs. 🪑 [Cold Bath] 2.2m wide, 2.8m deep, 80cm deep Located next to the dry sauna, it's easy to navigate! [Massage Area] The bathroom is compact and lacks massage chairs. It's mainly an open-air bath. Next to the mist sauna is a seated bath with a TV, which may be the most popular spot. [Baths] ⚫︎Indoor Bath Gensen-gen Fukan-yu (cold bath) and Gensen-gen Medicinal Bath ⚫︎Open-Air Bath Gensen-gen Gensen-yu (gentle bath) and scalding-hot bath in the back ♨️ It's unusual that the scalding-hot bath is on the upper level, perhaps the same system as the nearby Osama Shiki. There's a reclining bath against the wall, and the famous electric tub bath! It's also unusual that the hot water is on the aisle side. [Waiting Area] If you don't pay, you can use the reclining area in the back or the single sofas by the entrance. There's also a water dispenser in the restaurant.

Bath: ★★★★☆ (Not too big) Facilities: ★★★☆☆ (Didn't use the stone sauna) Dining: ★★★★☆ Crowdness: ★★★☆☆ (Lots of children) Visited on a winter Sunday. The facility felt like a typical day-trip hot spring facility. The indoor baths were two, lukewarm and regular, and had two saunas. The outdoor baths included a lukewarm flowing bath, a slightly warmer rock bath, and four reclining baths and tub baths, two of which were electric baths and were apparently quite strong, with people complaining of pain and leaving immediately. The cave bath was advertised as a cave bath, so I had high hopes, but it was just a simple sitting bath with a TV right in front of it. The dining area was spacious, and the menu was nothing particularly special, but I thought it was relatively reasonably priced. There was a darkened sleeping room at the back of the rest area. Overall, it felt average, but perhaps because it was a Sunday, there were a lot of children, which made it quite noisy and uncomfortable. This may be because of the splash bath, but I think it's not a bad option if you're traveling with children.

This was my first time visiting. It's a place I've always wanted to try whenever I pass by. It was a weekday evening and there were quite a few people there, but I had a pleasant stay. Before I knew it, I was feeling so good that I ended up wandering around the bathroom for almost an hour and a half. It was very nice, but the water in one of the bathtubs had a slightly strong chlorine smell, so I'll deduct one star. Other than that, it was really great.

Very good place and you can get relaxed in various types of Hot bath also there is a restaurant and free relaxing space with bed. Lots of people always but you don’t have to wait in a line so no stress :) It’s not a restaurant so food is not so good but you can have some oily food, ramen deep fried dishes etc. I had Tofu Avocado Salad 450¥ which was very good and enough size for a male adult.

Nice place, cheap aroun 800yen, though a bit noisy. Good for taking a shower and using the onsen but not a good option for a long stay. Food is tasty at around 1000yen
