Koedo Onsen Kashiba

The best part of my time in Japan. I couldn’t have imagined it in my wildest dreams, I have never felt so relaxed. It was the best man-made place I have ever visited. I paid about 1000 yen to get in. They give you some loose pajama type clothes to wear around. They had about 15 full body massage chairs, and some just for your feet. They also had four big rooms called bedrock baths - essentially large stone floored saunas where you could lie down on a towel and pillow. Each was big enough to fit about 20-50 people. They were not too hot, lots of people were napping and reading inside. They were playing relaxing music and diffusing calming smells. Next to those rooms was a cold room. Then I went to the hot springs area. There were 4 indoor hot pools, 7 outdoor hot pools, and a giant sauna. All had different healing properties. My favourite was one that had a shallow lounge chair shape to keep you above water and massaged your feet and back. Another cool one was a small raised tub just for one person that was really carbonated. The one that surprised me most I sat down in, and was shocked with electricity - it was a TENS machine working as you sat in the water. The most bizarre part was once in a while an employee would come in to the sauna shouting, he would whip a towel quickly in the air to push air several times towards each person in the sauna to fan them. When he was done everyone would bow to him and clap. It was hilarious!!!! He even had this special outfit for it. Has a bunch of extras - a large restaurant and cafe, souvenir shop, napping area big enough for at least a hundred people to nap in, and computer stations. Not a drop of water in the change room, or a spec of dust anywhere. It was a bit out of town in an area surrounded by lush rice fields so you could see them out the windows. The outdoor hot springs area had a couple waterfalls and beautiful landscaping. And super quiet - no people chatting on FaceTime! No talking allowed.

It's my first time to visit the place although everything is in japanese, asking other consumers and looking at the pictures did help me around and it was so wonderful and relaxing ! The stone sauna - bedrock bath feels good to your body. And the water sauna have a lot of variation and the electric massage bath and jetbath massage was so cool! The BGM was so good and very soothing to your ears. I really love it! The relaxing/ resting area is wonderful too! So much manga to read for free! The price is affordable and the key-band is awesome idea too but you got to be sure to walk in with enough cash because credit card is not allowed. Great food court and massage parlor and souvenir shop too! You can enjoy the modern japanese structure and artistic layouts and designs too. You gotta to try this place and i will be back to visit again soon! Wonderful place to relax, rewind and reset your body, mind and heart!

I had an absolutely amazing time at Koedo Onsen KASHIBA—it truly felt like a perfect escape from the busy city. The variety of baths, from silky smooth natural hot springs to carbonated and open-air options, left me completely relaxed. The sauna with its Auto Loyly system was spacious and calming, and the bedrock bath felt incredibly therapeutic. The entire place is beautifully designed, blending traditional Edo charm with modern comfort, and the wall art adds a unique cultural touch. I also loved the food—especially the dishes made with local ingredients and the sweet potato desserts, which were a delicious nod to Kawagoe’s charm. Every detail, from the ambiance to the friendly staff, made it a memorable and rejuvenating experience.

While strolling around Kawagoe, I suddenly felt like going to an onsen and came across this place. The first thing that impressed me was the very affordable entrance fee—only 1,000 yen, which includes a large towel and a casual loungewear provided for use after bathing. The onsen offers both indoor and outdoor baths, with a variety of pools to choose from. There is also a cold bath and a sauna. In addition, the facility has a relaxation area and a restaurant. Overall, it was an onsen that exceeded my expectations by far.

Yesterday is my first time to go here with friends and my daughter. I loved it . It was a nice and cozy place. Ambiance is beautiful and relaxing. Too much people come in and out . You should try and experience. The food is normal not bad . Staff was nice 👌 👍 Permanent tattoo and tattoo seals are not allowed. Mine , I covered it with tattoo foundation tape. so far they didnt noticed about it but i was a little worried 💦😅
