Last month, I visited the Suzuran family bath for the first time. I was a little early, but the female staff member smiled and said, "Please come in." 🙇♂️ The lounge and restrooms were also clean. The baths were an indoor bath and an open-air rock bath, and the location was great. And best of all, it's one of the few radon mineral springs in Japan. The scent was wonderful, the effects were wide, and it seems to be effective for a variety of ailments. It's the best ♨️ I've had so far. I want to go again and again. Last week was my third family bath ♨️. Now I've conquered all three: Suzuran, Ran, and Rose. ✌️ The blue sky, the green mountains, the refreshing breeze, and the warmth of the mineral springs—it's amazing.

I went there yesterday after hearing it had reopened.♨️ Only ¥400 for adults!! Amazing! (I imagine maintaining the facilities is a lot of work, so I personally don't think even ¥500-¥600 is too much, and I'm actually a bit worried about whether this price is reasonable. Sorry for being so nosy.💦) The changing rooms and bathrooms are well-maintained, and of course, the baths were incredibly comfortable.☺️I used to frequent Taketa and Beppu in Oita, and the hot springs here are just as good.♨️I'll definitely visit again.^_^

The hot spring water is highly concentrated, giving it a cloudy, yellowish color. There's an open-air bath and family baths available. The large public bath is only 300 yen for adults, and the family baths are 1500 yen, which is quite inexpensive. While the facilities feel a bit old, the toilets are new, and the changing rooms and bathrooms are clean. They also sell local eggs and vegetables, making them great souvenirs.

If you're coming from Hitoyoshi, you'll see a sign for this hot spring just past the road, and you'll arrive heading back down a single-lane road that's difficult to pass. So, on the way back, I took the opposite direction, but the passing difficulty was just as bad. There's a small sign where it joins the main road, but it's probably hard to find for newcomers. The sulfurous scent of this hot spring was wonderful.

The spring quality is a sodium chloride bicarbonate spring. It also contains baking soda and salt. The water is cloudy and greenish-yellowish brown. It doesn't smell very pleasant. There are a lot of local families with children, so it's difficult to relax in the bath. It's a hectic and noisy place, so it's probably not for everyone unless you're looking for the quality of springs on a hot spring tour!
