I stopped by here after work. Although they also have accommodation facilities, I used their day-use bathing service. Inside, there's a restaurant, a rest area, and a kids' space. The bath facilities include one indoor bath, one cold bath, one open-air bath, one open-air reclining bath, and one sauna. It's not very spacious, but 550 yen felt like a bargain. The open-air bath has a high railing, so you can only see the sky. I personally love reclining in a bath while looking at the night sky, so it was great. I didn't eat, but the menu looked quite reasonable. I'd like to visit this hot spring again.

I stayed at Koriyama Onsen (Otsuki-cho, Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture). The hot spring water was excellent. It was a Sunday and the area was crowded with day-trippers, but I was able to relax and enjoy the open-air bath after 9 PM. Fed by the Nasu volcanic belt, this hot spring springs from 900 meters underground. This is just my impression of the hot springs. The facilities are clean and there's plenty of parking. Shampoo and body soap are provided. Maybe it was because of the time of year (around December), but the open-air bath was quite lukewarm (maybe less than 30°C?). The indoor bath isn't too hot either, so it's recommended for families with children (though it might be a little too hot for adults). There's a sauna, so if you want to warm up, you'll have to use it. The price is 600 yen for adults.

For bathing only. Room ratings are based on the bathroom. Inside there is a single-person waterfall bath, a large bathtub with a wall-mounted jet in one corner, a cold bath, and a sauna. Outside there is the classic open-air bath and reclining bath. The reclining bath is a particular highlight, allowing you to lie down while feeling the natural breeze. Despite this, it is usually not that crowded, so you can expect to be able to relax to a certain extent.

On my way back from a nearby cafe, I decided to stop by for a day trip to the baths. It was a reasonable 600 yen for two hours. The large public bath was clean and well-maintained. After getting out of the bath, I had a 3-minute massage in a massage chair for 200 yen. Afterwards, I had some kitsune soba noodles at the restaurant inside the building before heading home. I think it's a great way to spend your day off.
