Kumano no Sato

Located close to Koshien Stadium, Naruohama Onsen Kumano no Sato is a popular spot for locals, as well as those who drop in after sightseeing or baseball games. This facility operates in the super-sento style, where you can enjoy the weakly alkaline natural hot spring water that springs from 1,000 meters underground, directly from the source. There are Japanese-style and Balinese-style baths for men and women, which are rotated weekly, making it a popular choice. The smooth, silky feeling you get on your skin the moment you step inside is truly inviting, and many hot spring lovers return. The saunas come in multiple styles, including a far-infrared sauna and a salt sauna, and the temperature is just right. The open-air bathing area, in particular, features resort-style reclining chairs, which some say are a great way to relax after a steaming session. The spacious baths and ample resting areas mean that visitors rarely feel cramped, even when the baths are busy. And let's not forget the much-talked-about "Stone Spa (Ganbanyoku)." Lying on the heated natural stones gently releases sweat from within, promising detoxifying and skin-beautifying benefits. Many visitors come to relieve stress and relax, offering a different kind of "relaxing time" than hot springs and saunas. Couples and friends often visit, which is a major factor in the increasing number of repeat visitors. There's also a free rest area on the first floor, stocked with approximately 2,500 manga books and tatami spaces where you can lie down, making it a relaxing space designed for long-term stays. Membership discounts are available, and the regular bathing fee is an affordable 990 yen on weekdays and 1,100 yen on weekends and holidays. I visited on a Saturday between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM! Good Points Staff Service There's a salt sauna Black germanium and pink rock salt were available in the stone sauna The shoe locker key and the facility barcode were linked, making for a smooth experience Slightly Disappointing Points There's a smoking area in front of the bath, which can be unpleasant for non-smokers (even the reclining seats on the first floor smell). On the other hand, I think smokers will appreciate it. The stone sauna floor can be extremely hot in some places. The women's-only stone sauna requires you to go through a men's entrance. I wish there were more hot spring options. I was able to sweat a lot and was satisfied. I personally found the black germanium in the stone sauna very relaxing, but the cigarette smell and other issues made me torn between giving it 3 or 4 stars. However, both the bath and stone sauna were unconventional and relaxing, and the receptionist was polite and the other staff were friendly, so I gave it 4.

This natural hot spring is located in the coastal area of Nishinomiya. Its greatest appeal is the free-flowing, undiluted hot spring water. The slightly alkaline, brownish water leaves your skin feeling smooth. The fact that there are many other hot springs with good water quality nearby suggests that there are good hot springs underground in this area. It's truly amazing to find such a hot spring area in the middle of a city! It's a luxury to be able to soak in a 100% free-flowing hot spring. It makes you feel happy! There's also a sauna, a salt sauna, and an open-air bath, so you can enjoy yourself to the fullest♪ If I could make one request, it would be to have more places to relax and unwind. Waiting for the right moment to relax is stressful... Sauna meccas have plenty of places to relax, and that's what's really great about them. If any staff members are reading this comment, please consider it.

Revisited in November 2025. Visited on a weekday afternoon; there were few customers. Used the Japanese-style bath. There was no mention of added water, heating, circulation, or disinfection (there was a disinfectant smell except in the areas with free-flowing hot spring water). However, the areas marked as free-flowing hot spring water had no disinfectant smell and seemed to be genuinely free-flowing. Having the ceramic bath all to myself was very pleasant. It felt like a real hot spring, and I think it's a good source. The other baths also didn't feel much different from the source water (or so it seemed), so if you don't mind the disinfectant smell, you'll likely be very satisfied. The bedrock bath is a traditional style, and although there's only one room, there are many beds and different types of beds to enjoy.

There used to be a shuttle bus from Hanshin Koshien Station, but it has now been discontinued and it is actually closer to get to the station from Hanshin Mukogawa Danchi-mae. The facility is well-equipped with facilities such as a family bath and a reclining rest area, and free Wi-Fi is also available. There are two restaurants on site where you can enjoy both Japanese and Western cuisine. As mentioned at the beginning, the discontinuation of the shuttle bus has made it more inconvenient, so I have downgraded the rating by one point, but other than that it is an absolutely wonderful facility with nothing to say.
