Kura no Yu Open

Kura no Yu is a great facility to have relaxing time. There is a large indoor area with showers, one big hot bath and 3 small massage baths. The is a large sauna and deep, large cold water bath. As for relaxing space - there are few plastic chairs and large stoned waterfall sofa - quite cool and not to be seen vert often facility. Outside is really amazing! Large area with many different baths and wet, sauna where you rub salt into your body - very soothing ;) Entry price is less than 1000 yen ( depends on the weekday and time). This onsen is almost famous for a mixed (men and women together) hot stone sauna session. Check their website for more details. Also - one small issue is the smoking areas - those are located just next to the changing room. I have not experienced and bad smell so far but I saw few other reviews where people complain about that. Tattoos are not allowed at all.

The parking lot is large, but it's not directly connected to the main road, so it can be a little confusing to know where to exit at night. The exterior of the building evokes the image of a storehouse. There's also a decorative gate. You put your shoes in the shoe lockers (100 yen free) and pass through the front desk, where you'll find a large rest area. It was around 8:30pm on a Saturday, but it was packed with people. It seems to be quite a popular establishment. Lockers don't cost 100 yen either. That's a nice touch. Both the open-air bath and indoor bath have a full range of baths. The reclining bath in the open-air bath was quite deep, so I was able to immerse my whole body. If I'm in the area again, I might stop by, but it does get a little crowded. However, when I left a little over an hour later, the number of people had thinned considerably.

This super public bath is located near the intersection of National Highway 407 and National Highway 254. Both the parking lot and the facilities are spacious. As it's the only super public bath in the area, it gets very crowded on weekends and holidays. The store has everything you need, from a barber shop to a restaurant. As for the actual baths, it's unusual in that it has a fairly extensive indoor bath selection. There is a decent selection of outdoor baths, too, although each one may be a little small. Even on holidays, the price is quite reasonable at 980 yen, so it's recommended for travelers as well.

First time visiting. It's amazing they're open until midnight. I arrived using my car navigation system, but it's hard to find without one. It's one block off the main road. It's in a residential area, so it's hard to find. The bathrooms are great, with plenty of jetted tubs and three open-air baths. Also, the open-air baths are hot, so you don't get cold after a bath. But there are just too many people. Around 8 PM on a Saturday, the parking lot was packed, and the bathtubs were packed. Is there anywhere else to go? The rest area is small and crowded, so that's a drawback.

Located in Higashimatsuyama City, Saitama Prefecture, this is "Kuranoyu Open-Air Bath Higashimatsuyama Branch." I stopped by during a trip to northern Saitama Prefecture. This bathhouse offers both an open-air bath and an indoor bath. It was very popular and a little crowded (due to the holidays), but it was a great way to soothe my travel fatigue. It doesn't seem to be a natural hot spring pumped up from underground, but rather boiled water with hot spring ingredients. However, it is clean and nice.
