The water quality is smooth and slippery, with good heat retention and leaves your skin feeling silky after bathing. You can cool off outdoors, but it's not very clean, so it's not great.

Sodium carbonate spring. pH 8.3, spring temperature 41°C. Colorless, transparent, tasteless and odorless. A beauty bath with a strong slimy texture. No water is added, but it is heated in winter. There is a sign saying that the spring water is free-flowing, but some of it is circulated. It is apparently disinfected with chlorine, but there is no chlorine smell. There is only an indoor bath, no open-air bath. The bathtub is lined with green schist, but the water below the surface is reddish-brown due to the hot spring ingredients. There is a small amount of white cement that appears to be calcium carbonate near the surface of the water. The footbath has been removed. Just the right temperature. The spring quality is good.

As expected, it's one of Saga's beauty baths. It's smooth and slippery. It was hard to find, and my navigation system was no help. It was night, and I was in a new place, so I panicked a little, missed the big sign, and passed it by, and ended up in Imari City. It's on the city border. I bought a ticket for 400 yen, and apparently they also have a points card. Heading to the bath...there was only one large bathtub. I thought there would be an open-air bath, since some people were going outside, but it was just a place to rest, and there was no open-air bath. It's a shame (lol), but it seems to be popular with locals, and there's parking for about 20 cars.

10/28/19 A clear, pleasant, and gentle hot spring. It was lukewarm, so I was able to soak for a long time. The water is not drinkable. In the rest area, you can lie down on the tatami mats. There are vending machines and a souvenir-like corner. Adults cost 400 yen, towels cost 150 yen (with the name of the hot spring printed on them). This is a famous hot spring that makes you want to come back again. Unfortunately, the foot bath was not open. 6/22/20 There was no trace of the foot bath left. It was a little hot today. The rest room was air-conditioned, so it was comfortable.

This natural hot spring has free-flowing water. Highly recommended for those who prefer a smoother bath than Ureshino Onsen or Takeo Onsen. The bathtub is about the size of an eight-tatami mat room and has eight showers. However, there's only a washing area and a bathtub; there's no jet bath or open-air bath. There's a rest area after your bath. The price is 400 yen (tax included). You can also use the stamp card for Imari Onsen Hakuji-no-Yu. There's also ample parking.
