Kyuuragi Onsen Sayohime

Visited in January 2026. I stayed here during a car camping trip. It's not as large as a super sento, but not as cozy as a public bath either, and is a type of bath loved by locals. Entry is 500 yen, or 450 yen after 5pm. The reception, bath, rock bath, and shop are on the first floor. They also sell local vegetables and fruits, and it feels like a mini roadside station. There is only an indoor bath. There is a sauna. In addition to the main bath, there is a small medicinal bath and a scented bath about the size of a regular cold bath. Today I tried the forest bathing scented bath. The forest bathing water was a surprisingly vivid blue, which was a bit surprising, but it was warm and I was able to stay in it for a long time. The washing area is U-shaped and small. But it's set back, so the steam accumulated and it was nice and warm. Even though the entry fee is cheap, I'm happy that they provide shampoo and conditioner instead of rinse-in shampoo. Since I used oil, my hair didn't feel rough. The second floor is a rest area and dining area, and they have a few manga available. Although there are only a few titles, there were a lot of newer works like Spy x Family, which was great. Maybe because it was a weekday night, the bath wasn't very crowded and the rest area was empty, so I was able to relax at my own pace.

There's quite a bit of parking available. Some shoes are free, but I ended up paying 10 yen instead. Purchased tickets from the ticket machine. Bath fee: 500 yen, stone bath: 500 yen. Large public bath only. Surprisingly hot. The bath uses medicinal herbs on both sides, so it's lukewarm. The stone bath I was aiming for...there was only one, and there weren't any low-temperature or high-temperature rooms. And it was a hot room, which I'm not good with! It used to be separate for men and women, but now they can use it together, but there are partitions between them. There's no room where you can read manga and suddenly find yourself sweating, or falling asleep!! You can't read manga inside the stone bath. There's no refrigerator on the stone bath side to put your personal drinks in. There's a rest area on the second floor, but you can't lie down and rest.

Camellia and Sakura oil shampoo, oil conditioner, and body soap are available. The medicinal bath is large enough for about three adults. There are 10 types of herbal medicines. It smells of herbs, but there's no tingling sensation. The water flows steadily, and it's at a temperature that allows you to stay in for a long time. Today, the health-scented bath was dyed blue with aloe vera. The water wasn't pouring. The main bath, while still pouring, was lukewarm. There's a sauna and a cold bath next to it. After wiping my body, I smelled a strong bleaching agent. I didn't even notice it while I was in the bath. There are 24 free lockers with locks. There was also a 🧺 on the shelf. There's air conditioning and a fan to cool down your body. The hair dryers are free to use and are still new.

Alkaline simple hot spring (hypotonic alkaline hot spring) 48.5 degrees, PH9.81. Contains 41.4mg of lotion ingredients, and the PH is very high, but the metasilicic acid is not so high, so there was not much of a smooth feeling. Instead, there was hyaluronic acid and medicinal baths. Of these, the medicinal bath felt the best. (Water with dissolved medicinal extract) I think 4 would be good overall, but the source of the spring is rated 3. The facilities are old, but there is a sauna, and the bath fee of 500 yen is good.

On the first floor near the entrance, there is a souvenir corner with great deals on local vegetables and other items. You can also dine and relax in the large hall on the second floor. The bath area is not very large, but it also has a sauna and medicinal bath. There is an additional charge for the bedrock bath. I didn't see inside, but there is a wide variety of stones, and it seems like a lot of care has gone into them. First of all, the low price of 500 yen is very reasonable.
