Matsuba

This one is Matsubayu located little north of Marutamachi Street near Onmae Street which runs from north to south. Matsubayu has a striking feature of cage keeping many parakeets which you can see while bathing. This one is highly recommended for those looking for a fun place. Matsubayu has an open-air bathing space inside as well. The water pumped up from underground supplying its cold bath is drinkable. This place is open from 15:00 to 12:00. Really nice sento if you aim for functionality and good water and don't care about the looks too much. Multiple indoor baths, a sauna and two outdoor baths, of which one is a cold! It's mostly visited by locals, but I didn't feel like I wasn't welcomed. It's fairly cheap and a parrot at the entrance will greet you with an "Ohaio"!

I think it became my favourite place to bathe now. Price is fair, it’s really clean as compared to some more popular sento /onsen, the atmosphere is really unique and the baths have adequate temperatures. I came across this place by pure chance and I don’t regret. You should definitely check this onsen out.

Cute little sauna with locals There’s a small outdoor portion in the woman’s bath- felt like a fairytale. There are birds but they were not flying around when I was there. Instead they are in a glass room where you can see them when you bath. The sauna was very affordable. I think I paid about 500 yen

This was my first experience with an onsen. At first I was nervous but everyone here was very nice. I do not know Japanese but everyone was very welcoming, including the other visitors and the host couple. I loved it and will miss it.
