This is a very interesting place to stay! It feels like a hotel attached to a bathhouse. The building is old, but I like the spaciousness (and the waste). It feels like they've put a lot of thought into it. I tried the rock sauna (women-only) for the first time. The facilities are amazing. It's a shame you can't take photos! Guests can use it for 330 yen per visit. It was a very interesting experience. Everything (towels, clothing) was properly provided. However, the rock sauna is on B1, the bath is on the first floor, and the changing room is on the second floor? It was quite confusing and a bit of a challenge. But the staff were very kind. The rock sauna was great, but I was a little worried about going alone, so I recommend going with a few other women. The hot spring facilities are open to non-guests. It seems to get crowded on ladies' days, so if you're staying solely for the rock sauna, it might be best to avoid those days. The restaurant on the first floor is reasonably priced and delicious, so we went with breakfast and dinner, but we could have easily done without dinner. Breakfast was a buffet, and there were many men there who seemed to be there for work. They offer a laundry service, which I think is convenient for long-term guests or those on a long trip. There was a kettle, instant coffee, and tea set. There was a refrigerator. There was no safe, but only one key (a bit inconvenient). There was also a microwave in the hallway. The room was quiet. I stayed at this hotel. Although the building is old, the rooms have been renovated in key areas, which is a plus. However, the flow between the room and the bath is inconvenient. You can't leave your luggage in the locker on the bath side, making it unsuitable for those who want to take multiple baths while resting in their room. Even as a hotel guest, you have to leave your shoes and slippers, and hand over your locker key and room key each time you go to the bath, which is a hassle. Although payment is supposed to be made using the locker key barcode at the bath side, you have to sign each time and then sign again at the front desk, which is a pain. The flow of movement is stressful. While these are probably the rules of the facility and unavoidable, what was infuriating was the attitude of the front desk staff. They acted as if it was my fault for not knowing the customs, saying things like, "Go get your shoes!" and "Go get your luggage!" The only person who provided decent service was the one wearing a name tag indicating they were in training. Why were they so condescending...? The rooms, baths, and dining area were all good, but it was a disappointing stay.

There is a separate bathing fee of 150 yen in addition to the accommodation fee. The hot spring water is slightly lukewarm. Old bath house/hotel, still ok Pros - good bath house annexed to hotel. (Real onsen). Good scrub service (fee), and his stone spa. Staff nice Cons - very old, stayed at 606 - smoking twin ! Window was broken so cold air and noise coming in. It is time to renovate the hotel !
