Miharashi Hot Spring

I went on December 4, 2025. About a 10-minute drive from the Ina Interchange on the expressway, as its name suggests, the facility is located on a hilltop with a panoramic view of Ina City. The entrance is currently under construction, so you will need to follow the guided path from the parking lot to enter. The entrance fee is 600 yen per adult. The shoe lockers are standard, not coin-operated. The lockers in the changing rooms come in both basket-type and return-type coin lockers. There's a free, locked valuables box outside the changing rooms, so even if you don't have coins, you'll be fine. I went around 5pm on a weekday, but it was fairly busy. Most of the visitors were elderly locals. The baths include an indoor bath and a reclining bath. There's a sauna, a cold bath, a waterfall bath, and a low-temperature bath. The outdoor bath has one rock bath. The open-air bath caught my eye. It's a square-shaped bath with one side bounded by a wall and the other side bounded by an undeveloped area outside the grounds. This means you can only bathe from two locations, but there are steps between these two locations, so everyone sits there and stays half-bathed. If about six people sit at the front, the entrance is blocked, leaving a gaping space at the back. I wonder if the layout couldn't have been more efficient. There are other bathtubs in the open-air bath, but for some reason they weren't filled with hot water, which felt like a waste. There are about six sinks for dressing, each with a hair dryer, and several of them are ReFa dryers. This is a really great feature! It seems that the reason it was so crowded on this day was because another nearby day-trip hot spring was closed. (Thursday) When visiting in the future, it's important to check the closing dates of nearby facilities to avoid crowds.

It's been about seven years since my first visit, and it's always clean and quiet. The men's and women's baths apparently switch weekly, but I've only been to one side so far. However, the variety of baths is impressive, and it's a facility that makes you want to come back again. The low price of 600 yen is also a big plus. The food is delicious too.

Couldnt find any information on tattoo policy online, so we decided to check in person. Turns out that while small tattoos are fine, larger ones (or many) will get your entry denied, so be aware before coming.

I've never been this relaxed in my life! Free entrance if you stay in the hotel across the street. Very spacious & reasonably priced.

Nice experience. Covid precautions are orbseved. You can also enjoy quick massage on coined massage machines.
