I'm a local, and it seems that fishing has recently been banned along this beach. The bait is left on the ground and smells terrible, so I guess it can't be helped. The ferry pier on the north side (Sakaiminato Terminal) has also been fenced off and is off-limits. It's awful. How can such a great fishing spot be closed off? Is the city hall's tourism department just being clueless? Fishing is so much more fun than the old, decaying Kitaro Road. Maybe they're refusing to accept fishing as a tourist attraction because it doesn't generate any money. The city administration of Sakaiminato has really gone downhill.

If the weather is clear, you can see the beautiful Mt. Daisen and the morning sun.

The family bath costs 2,000 yen for 45 minutes. It was really great.
