One of the great things about Misawa is that many public baths are open early in the morning. It's a 25-30 minute walk from Misawa Airport. It's close to Katsura Onsen, just a little over a 10-minute walk away. There's a bus that runs right outside, but as someone who doesn't drive, I'm glad it's within walking distance. It felt more alkaline than Katsura Onsen (although I'm not sure about the pH there). It's a simple hot spring, but its chemical makeup is similar to a sodium chloride bicarbonate spring. Perhaps the difference with Kashiwa Onsen is the high bicarbonate content (baking soda). The water is generally clear, but appears to have a slight yellow-green tint. In addition to the indoor baths with two temperature ranges, there is also an open-air bath. The hot bath felt quite hot, at 43-44°C, while the cold bath was relatively mild at 41-42°C. I've heard that people in Tohoku like hot water, but the hot bath here wasn't particularly popular. (Thanks to this, you can enjoy the hot spring water all you want while keeping an eye on the low-temperature bath.) The outdoor bath is also comfortable, at around 41 degrees. I personally like that you can see the cold water outlet separately from the hot water outlet, so you can see how much water is added. I could clearly see that the amount of water added isn't that much. Considering the price of 370 yen, I was more than satisfied. As of February 22, 2026, it's 370 yen, a free hair dryer, and you can bring your own shampoo. ♨️ The facility is spacious and clean! The receptionist is also nice. 😊 The hot spring has a kamaboko-shaped ceiling, which gives it a clean feel. Regular-temperature water with bubbles and back bubbles! There's hot water, an electric bath, a cold bath, an open-air bath, and a sauna that's about 85 degrees! The water is a little smooth, and there are plenty of washing areas! If you want to use the sauna, it's a good idea to bring your own mat. It's 550 yen if you buy one in the store. 💦 It's reasonably priced at 370 yen, but it would be nice if the store provided mats. There was only one hair dryer for the men, so it would be nice if they had another one. 😆

This hot spring is located in a residential area, and although it was a weekday afternoon, it was very busy with visitors. It cost 370 yen per adult. There is a large medium-temperature bath, a smaller hot bath, an electric bath, an open-air bath, and a sauna and cold water bath. With such a comprehensive facility, the price is low and I think it's good value for money. Perhaps the hotter water is close to the source, but the alkaline water was smooth and extremely comfortable. The sauna was spacious and the temperature was comfortable, but it was great for sweating. I felt refreshed after my bath, and it was a hot spring I'd like to return to again and again.

This hot spring is located in a suburban residential area in Oka Misawa, Misawa City. The facility is well-maintained. It was reopened in June 2010. The admission fee is incredibly cheap: 370 yen for adults, 300 yen for junior high school students, 150 yen for elementary school students, and 50 yen for infants. The alkaline simple hot spring has excellent quality. The baths offer a sauna, electric bath, open-air bath, waterfall bath, cold bath, lukewarm bath, and hot bath. There were many elderly locals with poor sauna etiquette.
