Added on June 1, 2025 The temperature of the cold bath seems to have been carefully considered and is now stable. There are still some things that bother me. For example, I wish the cotton swab holder on the vanity had a rotating lid instead of a regular lid. Sometimes the hairdryer cord gets caught and all the swabs spill out, which is a real mess. Also, the part where you hang the hairdryer is difficult to use if it's in place. I hope they'll improve the hanging part or make some other adjustments to make it easier to use. ------------------ I wish they'd put a little more effort into various aspects of the sauna. First, the changing room. The heating is too strong, making it too hot. This is for the men's bath. Why be considerate of people who are just about to enter? It diminishes the enjoyment of the hot spring, and people who have just finished the sauna will sweat again. The temperature of the cold bath isn't stable throughout the year either. It's a real shame, because the sauna room itself is so good. There are many good facilities in the suburbs of Miyazaki, so I hope they'll learn from them.

I visited just to use the bath. It's smaller than your average super sento, but since it's attached to a city hotel, it was very clean and nice. However, the parking lot is quite far back, so it's quite hard to find. When I searched on Google Maps, the Tamayura Onsen bus stop was at the top of the search results, but I couldn't find the location so I called the hotel and asked for directions. Also, if you're just using the bath, there is a time limit, so be aware of that!

The front desk staff have a bad attitude. There's this lady who's a Woody member and she's always there. She takes up space and complains about being splashed with water in the shower. If water is splashing on you, you should move. And yet she's chatting in the bathroom and it's so noisy. This is a hotel hot spring facility. Some members are well-behaved, but the fact that there's nothing they can do about it lowers the quality.

I opted for a room-only stay so I could find my favorite restaurants in Miyazaki City while sightseeing in Miyazaki Prefecture. I was a little worried because the price was so low for a hotel with a hot spring bath, but I was surprised by how spacious the room was. Both the room and the hot spring were spotlessly clean. I will definitely stay here again if I ever visit Miyazaki City.

This hot spring facility is located inside the Miyazaki Kanko Hotel. Even if you're not a guest, you can use the baths for a day trip by paying a fee. It's not particularly large, but it's a nice hot spring. There's also an open-air bath, so bathing at night is quite picturesque. However, the bathing fee is over 1,000 yen, so I haven't been there much lately.
