Momiji Hot Spring

I followed the car navigation system, but it took me under the highway overpass and turned right immediately, so I took the narrow side road and followed the navigation system, which took me to the back of the building (;゜0゜) I made a U-turn and arrived safely❗️There were stairs just before the entrance, and I was at the entrance... (・・;) You can get a 50 yen discount with the JAF discount here🎵The hot spring is a beautiful hot spring that makes your skin smooth♨️The hot spring itself isn't very thick, but it's a good hot spring✨There are indoor and outdoor baths and a jacuzzi✋There was a super hot bath in the indoor bath, but it was not too hot😁I couldn't stay in the super hot water at Onsen-tsu temperature for even 10 seconds, but it was no problem here (;´∀｀)The receptionist was also very helpful😉👍️✨🌠I went at night so I couldn't see much, but the building may be a little old✨But it seems to be well-cleaned☺️They also had coronavirus countermeasures🆗‼️🍀The customers seemed to be locals, so it wasn't too crowded💞I'd like to go again during the day

There's a JAF discount. The water is slimy and a little hot. Apparently the hottest temperature is 44 degrees. It's not impossible to get in, but I gave up within a minute. The sauna has a small entrance door and isn't very spacious inside. Tall people will probably need to be careful of their heads when exiting. The space is big enough to fit about 4 or 5 people, but there was a person lying on their back there, and they didn't seem to mind when someone came in. The staff member who came to change the mat didn't even bother to warn them. I hope people will follow the basic rules, and that the staff will at least call out to people. Even if there are warning signs posted, there are people who won't be able to read or understand them. The drainage isn't good, so bubbles from the person next to you or behind you keep coming in. While this can't be helped, I hate toothpaste bubbles. I wish toothpaste was banned.

The hot spring itself was clean. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hair dryer, return lockers, and a cold water dispenser (in the hallway to the open-air bath) were provided. The changing rooms, washing areas (only 10 for men), and sauna were all small. The open-air bath was nice and not crowded, but the rocks were not polished, there was little electricity, and it was night, so the skin on my hands peeled when I got in. There were a lot of people who seemed to be locals, and the security around the rest area for both men and women was not very good. There is a nice place to camp nearby, but there were too many pedestrians who didn't care about cars. I don't recommend it for non-locals.

The water is slightly thick and feels nice. The changing rooms and washing areas are also spotlessly clean. The regulars, who appear to be regulars, greet and chat with each other, but there's none of the nastiness that you might expect from a typical bathhouse full of regulars. It can get crowded on weekends or when there are a lot of visitors returning home, but at other times it's relatively empty and you rarely have to wait in line for one of the only three hair dryers. The lockers are never full, but there are a few broken parts that aren't being fixed easily.

I went for the first time over the Obon holidays. The facilities seemed quite old, but the water was a little slimy and left my skin feeling smooth. I was able to enjoy the garden while soaking in the open-air bath. I'd like to come back during the autumn foliage season. There were a few chairs outside and the (handmade) mist was very pleasant to use during my break. I suppose 620 yen is unavoidable given the recent price hikes, but it is still a bit pricey.
