Myoken Hot Spring

Traditional onsen resort by a river, with bathhouses & hotels, plus a Shinto shrine nearby.
♨️Even experts will be impressed♨️ Kagoshima Hot Spring Tour 🚙💨 Myoken Onsen is the largest in the Shinkawa Valley Hot Spring Village. While not as large as a typical hot spring town, it boasts abundant nature, and each inn puts a lot of effort into its open-air baths! There are ultra-luxury inns with private cottages, but since it was originally a therapeutic hot spring resort, there are also inns where you can cook your own meals.☝🏻 As a fan of Hinaizumi, I'm excited to research and visit hot spring resorts! 💕 Anraku Onsen and Wakeyu are also nearby, making it a paradise for hot spring lovers! 😍 Previous Visits ⭐︎Tajima Honkan ⭐︎Shusuiyu ⭐︎Myoken Ishihara-so
I learned about Myoken Onsen from the NHK program Mofumofu. I had no idea there was a hot spring with such wonderful water quality. After learning about it, I became a hot spring lover. It's easy to access and the views are amazing. I've been there many times. In the summer, I saw people enjoying fishing in the beautiful river. When I stayed there in April, I could hear frogs at night. What beautiful sounds I was able to hear while staying at night.
From budget accommodations to decent-priced lodgings! This hot spring resort has a variety of high-end inns clustered along the river! There's absolutely no opportunity to enjoy the hot spring town itself, but if you're looking to stay at a hot spring inn and enjoy yourself within the premises, then it's probably fine. The hot spring water is absolutely fantastic.
I recently took a bath at the 170-year-old Tajimakan in Myoken Onsen. The wound bath was used to treat wounded soldiers during the Seinan War. The baths haven't changed in over 30 years, and the building has been renovated. Back then, the building was full of gaps and holes, so you could see into the neighboring buildings. It was both cold and hot. It's a shame.
As it is a hot spring for therapeutic bathing, the washing area is small, but the quality of the spring water washes away fatigue.
