📅Early February 2026 Even though we arrived in Yamaguchi, we only managed to take one bath. 😅 We aimed for a morning bath before sightseeing. 🚙💨 This was my husband's second visit (the last time was on a train trip. 🚆), and my first time. This is a local hot spring near Yuda Onsen, recommended by my local hot spring friends. ♨️ I've heard people say it's usually too hot, but on this day, perhaps because of the snow, it was just the right temperature. 😊 It's very well maintained, and I enjoyed my bath. 🙇♀️ I also washed my hair, so I borrowed the rental hair dryer. 30 yen. Highly recommended for those who love hot water! It's a local public bath, but it's very clean. Amenities are charged, so it's a good idea to bring your own. The lady at the front desk always greets you with a smile. There's a steam sauna, so you can sweat it out, and there's a good path to the cold bath, and there are two chairs so you can fully relax. Above all, it's the quality of the spring water. After soaking in the water, your skin will feel great for a while! 480 yen for spring water of this quality is an incredible deal. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. There is a steam sauna, but sauna lovers might not be satisfied. The bath is quite hot and only big enough for about three people, so if it's crowded you might not be able to relax. The jet bath was just big enough for two people and had warm water. I love hot water, so this was perfect! A regular customer also taught me proper etiquette, but he wasn't rude (lol) and just said the obvious things in a matter-of-fact way. There were nine showers, which reminded me of the old-fashioned public bathhouses.

It stands casually by the road and looks like an ordinary public bath, but it is a genuine hot spring facility that uses natural hot spring water and even comes equipped with a steam sauna. The water temperature is a little high, but the clear, colorless hot spring feels great, and the smooth feeling you get after a bath is a testament to the quality of the spring. What's more, it is reasonably priced, has long opening hours, and even has a parking lot, making it a popular repeat visitor spot for locals and tourists alike.
