Unexpected poor service in Japan I recently visited a well-known onsen near Osaka airport, expecting a relaxing and authentic Japanese hot spring experience, but I was thoroughly disappointed by the poor service and misleading presentation. One staff member, a man wearing blue glasses and noticeably overweight, displayed a shockingly unprofessional attitude. When I approached him with concerns about the facilities, he was dismissive and rude, refusing to provide his name or employee ID for complaint purposes. He claimed this was a matter of “privacy,” leaving customers with no proper channel to voice their grievances. This lack of accountability is frustrating and unacceptable for a venue that supposedly prioritizes hospitality. The service at the reception was equally abysmal. I waited at the counter for an unreasonably long time, with no staff bothering to assist or even acknowledge the guests. It felt as though we were being deliberately ignored. To make matters worse, the onsen’s actual condition was a stark contrast to the pristine photos advertised online. The facilities appeared worn and neglected, and the overall ambiance was far from the serene, inviting experience promoted. This experience was a complete departure from the renowned Japanese hospitality I had anticipated. I strongly advise against visiting this onsen for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat, as the poor staff attitude and misleading portrayal utterly ruined the visit!!!

Visited during the afternoon on a weekday before my flight. It was very calm and there were not many guests. So very relaxing and a nice way to spend a couple of hours. The entrance fee was 900 yen, but towels are only free for women, men and children have to pay a bit extra to rent towels, but it's still a good price. There are very limited free amenities and things like free razors or face cream do not exist. There is one outdoor and one indoor bath with around 41 degrees water. In the male bath there is also a dry sauna and a cold bath. It's possible to pour water on the stones like in a Finnish sauna, so that's really nice. The female bath has a stream sauna instead without a cold bath. Outside the bath area there is a space for relaxing with a lot of japanese manga.

I came here to relax before my flight back in April. It was my first onsen experience and the staff were so kind. I did not feel awkward at all as it was not too crowded and very quiet. Entry was only 900 yen on a weekday and included towel hire. The same experience would cost more than $60 alone for entry in Australia. You get access to two hot springs, clean showers (with complimentary shampoo and body wash), a powder room and a sauna. I think they also have a gym on premise. It is the ultimate place to relax before your flight out of Osaka KIX. You can also relax on the beanbags and buy ice cream from the cafe and a meal from the restaurant. Incredibly serene and beautiful views of Osaka Bay. Highly recommend and would 100% visit again

Very relaxing experience good with Greta view to drop by before or after your flight. When entering place your shoes in the lockers by the entrance and keep the key Proceed to reception counter. Staff can speak basic English and instructions are in English 100-200 for bath towel rental 500 yen for luggage storage Onsen is a one time entrance ticket so stay inside until you want to leave as there is no reentering Have a 100 yen coin for locker storage in the Onsen, locker will return after it is unlocked. Keep the wristband key on you when u enter the Onsen. Once done you can exit or try the massage chair inside for 200yen Relax at the cafe or lounge area until you need to leave
