Natural hot springs Tenjin Yunohana

Has bath spots for about 25 male in a 15 by 30 metre bath area. Individual spots 95cm deep are designed with two sets of jets and holding steel bars. There's an icy cold bath for five people. Somehow, the door to outside pool was locked when I visited. It appeared to be popular with locals only, who had membership facilities, including a 10% discount on meals. I enjoyed the bath, and liked the ¥480 hot soba meal afterwards. Staff were very friendly. I still preferred the free space, and quiet, in rural onsens, hence the no. of stars.

This onsen has hydrotherapy pool with powerful jet stream jacuzzi for every part of your body. It's by far the best one I've been and I've been to a few throughout Japan. The staffs were friendly and helpful, thumbs up for great hospitality. Facilities were excellent. Mostly locals. I was probably the only foreigner.

Very good hot spring for the locals in Tenjin area. People were a bit too rowdy and therefore one should not expect supremely good manners be observed here. Nonetheless the facilities were good: there were Jacuzzi, outdoor section with hot seats and hot water flowing on one's back. All in all, it's four stars.

If you are staying in Fukuoka as a tourist, I say, you must make a visit here at least once. Staff are friendly and all the facilities are well-maintained. Relaxing in the outside bath tub will give you a fantastic rest for your mind and body. Food at the cafeteria is also very good.

There were too many people for my liking when we went on a Saturday afternoon. That said, I enjoyed the variety of baths, both indoor and outdoor (rotenburo), jacuzzi type baths and a cold bath. I'd give it three stars taking into account the 720 yen entry fee.
