Nukumorinosato Onsen

I visited Nukumori no Sato for the first time. I was searching for a hot spring with good reviews for a day trip, and this place came up in the search results (^^) It's located about 20 minutes along the Kanazawa-Inami Line, heading towards Kanazawa University's Kakuma Campus. The drive through the mountains is very pleasant with the fresh greenery. As you get closer to your destination, you'll see a sign for Nukumori no Sato, so turn left and go down a gentle slope to arrive. Nukumori no Sato is a magnificent and impressive building (^｡^) Upon entering, you put your shoes in a locker. You purchase your bathing ticket from a vending machine. Weekdays: 600 yen Weekends and holidays: 700 yen Present your bathing ticket at the front desk and head to the bath ☆ The corridor leading to the bath is decorated with stuffed animals from the nearby mountains. There are also several massage chairs available. There's a restaurant and a large rest area too! Shampoo, body soap, and bar soap are always provided in the bathroom. The changing room is spacious, the indoor bath is spacious, and the open-air bath is even more... It's magnificently spacious! This is the first time I've ever been to an open-air bath in such a natural setting. I've found a great hot spring; I'd love to visit again. I highly recommend this hot spring. It's a hot spring you should definitely visit at least once!

I used it during the day on a weekend. The atmosphere was reminiscent of an old wooden house and matched the surrounding forest nicely. The holiday rate is 750 yen. 650 yen on weekdays. You go from the ticket machine to the front desk. Free Wi-Fi is available. The password is the phone number. I realized how comfortable it must be to see an old man sleeping soundly during his massage on the way to the bath. The changing room has 100 yen return lockers, so it's safe. There are only two areas: indoors and outdoors. The "Io no Gensen," where the hot spring water for the open-air bath flows, creates a wonderful atmosphere! The alkaline simple hot spring water is 45 degrees Celsius. The water was just the right temperature, clear and colorless, and refreshing. The hot spring smell was also great! I had mushroom soba at the adjacent restaurant. The mushrooms were huge and very satisfying. The other dining area also had a beer garden. It's rare. The smell of a beer garden is inviting. The atmosphere everywhere seemed fun, which was great. I'd like to come again if I have the chance.

Nukumori no Sato A hot spring located on the way from Mori no Sato in Kanazawa City to Toyama. I dropped by on my way back from Toyama. There's a parking lot in front of the store that can accommodate about 30 cars. Including other parking lots, there's about 60. I arrived when there were about 30 cars in the lot, but the bath wasn't particularly crowded. There are only two baths: the large indoor bath and the open-air bath. The open-air bath is incredibly spacious, almost as large as the large bath. It really feels like an open-air bath! It's not a super public bathhouse, so there aren't many types of baths. If you come with children, they might leave early and you might not be able to enjoy a long soak. (laughs) This is a recommended place for relaxing in a bath while looking at nature. I went there during a light rain, and it was still great.

I used to go there often because it wasn't crowded, but now it's so crowded that it's hard to park a car. The indoor bath is small and there aren't many washing areas. On the other hand, the open-air bath is about three times larger and has a sense of openness. A few years ago, it was about 450 yen for adults, but now it's about 750 yen on weekends and holidays. It's gotten more expensive. "Addendum" When I went on a weekday evening, it was just as quiet as before. Maybe it only gets super crowded during holidays or Saturday nights? It was nice to be able to relax in the large open-air bath by myself.

The hot spring is a little lukewarm, but it's nice to be able to soak in it for a long time. The open-air bath in particular was spacious and deep, with a great view. It was absolutely wonderful. I did wonder if there might be a lot of bugs in the summer, but... The facilities were kept clean, and I had a really enjoyable time. The dining area was also clean, with a wide variety of menu items. The prices were very reasonable. It takes about an hour to cook the iwana and ayu, so it's a good idea to order them before getting in the bath. I'll definitely come again.
